Today we celebrate the wagging tails, wet noses, goofy personalities, and unconditional love that make dogs such an important part of our families! 🐾✨

From playful puppies to wise senior pups, every dog deserves a lifetime filled with:
Regular wellness visits
Preventive care and vaccines

Today, we’re celebrating an exciting accomplishment! Please join us in congratulating Serena on officially becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) after successfully passing the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)! 🎓💙
Becoming an RVT takes countless hours of studying, perseverance, and dedication, and Serena has shown all of that and more. Their passion for veterinary medicine, commitment to patient care, and willingness to go above and beyond for both pets and their families make them an invaluable member of the Lee’s Summit Animal Hospital North team.

👀🐾 POV: You're just trying to do your job... but someone has decided your shoulder is the best seat in the clinic. 💙🐶

This little cutie was making sure our veterinary team didn't miss a single thing! Whether they're stealing hearts, giving puppy kisses, or supervising appointments from the best view in the house, puppies always know how to brighten our day.

Those first puppy visits are about so much more than vaccines—they help build confidence, create positive experiences, and lay the foundation for a lifetime of happy, healthy veterinary visits. ✨

We'd say this tiny supervisor earned a few treats for a job well done!

Today, Lees Summit Animal Hospital North is proud to recognize the incredible nonprofits that make a difference in the lives of people and pets in our community.

We’re especially proud to support the Paisley Paws Foundation and the important work they do to help families during some of their most difficult veterinary moments. 🐾💛

Through our Paisley Paws account, we’re able to help provide support when financial hardship could otherwise stand in the way of lifesaving veterinary care. Because sometimes, a little extra help can make all the difference in keeping a family together. 🥹🐶🐱

If your pet came running the second they heard that word... you're not alone! 😂

Treats are a great way to reward good behavior, make training fun, and even help create positive experiences during veterinary visits. In fact, here at Lee's Summit Animal Hospital North, we LOVE using treats to help make appointments as stress-free as possible! 💙🐶🐱

But here's the golden rule:
🍪 Treats should make up no more than 10% of your pet's daily calories.

Too many treats can lead to:
⚖️ Weight gain
😕 Unbalanced nutrition

The best treats are:
🐾 Small and easy to chew
🥕 Healthy, low-calorie options
🎉 Given in moderation

Remember—a wagging tail (or a happy purr) doesn't always need a handful of treats. Sometimes a game of fetch, belly rubs, or extra cuddle time is the best reward of all! ❤️
