I love the water and was bred to be an excellent swimmer.

Wellness Wednesdays:

A healthy weight isn’t just about how a dog looks. It can have a big impact on how they age. ❤️

Keeping dogs at a healthy body condition can reduce stress on their joints, make movement easier, and help support their overall health as they get older.

One of the best things we can do for our dogs’ longevity is actually pretty simple: feed appropriate portions, keep treats in check, and make sure they get regular opportunities to move.

And remember, every dog is different. A healthy weight for a tiny senior Chihuahua is going to look very different from a healthy weight for a young Labrador.

Those extra few pounds can be easy to overlook, especially when we see our dogs every day. Regular weight checks and conversations with your veterinarian can help catch changes before they become a bigger problem.

A longer life is wonderful. A longer life where your dog can comfortably run, play, climb stairs and enjoy the things they love is even better.

It can be hard to ignore puppy eyes but maybe go for an extra walk instead of giving an extra treat.

Cats are experts at hiding what they need. 🐱

Unlike dogs, many cats don’t always show obvious signs when something is bothering them. Small changes like sleeping more, hiding, eating less, skipping the litter box, or becoming less social can be their way of telling us something is wrong.

Regular wellness visits, keeping an eye on their habits, and noticing the little changes can make a big difference. Cats are masters at subtle communication, and the people who know them best are usually the first to notice.

A happy, healthy cat is one that feels safe, loved, and understood. ❤️

🐱 Happy International Cat Day! 🐱

Today is a pretty good excuse to celebrate the cats who make us laugh, keep us company, knock things off the counter, and somehow convince us that everything they do is completely reasonable. 😂

We’re pretty lucky to spend our days caring for these quirky, independent, lovable little creatures. Give your cat an extra treat (or 12) today! ❤️

A tired dog is a happy dog… but exercise is about so much more than just burning off energy. 🐾

Walks, playtime, sniffing adventures, and exploring new places help dogs stay healthy in their bodies and their minds. Sniffing a new trail, chasing a favorite toy, or playing with friends gives dogs a chance to be curious, confident, and engaged.

Just like us, every dog is different. Some pups love a long hike, while others are happiest with a leisurely stroll and plenty of time to sniff every interesting smell along the way. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s finding the kind of movement that makes your dog’s tail wag.

One of our favorite things is watching dogs leave with that “I had the best day” look after getting to play, explore, and just be a dog. ❤️
