Snout & Soul Reptiles I'm an animal lover and pet owner. I have been keeping reptiles for 10+ years, breeding reptiles and feeders during that time.

I have begun a collection of Western Hognose snakes and am currently working on new breeding projects. Dubia roaches are top quality feeders for your reptiles as they are the most nutritional. Dubia Roaches are preferred over crickets since they do not smell, chirp, or produce as much waste.,

One of the Toxic Condas from our first clutch. I was hoping to hit this combo eventually, but didn't think I'd get blessed with 2 in my first clutch.

This one has got me thinking about where I want to take this project in the future πŸ‘€

But for now, I'm just excited to watch this little one grow πŸ’š

Meet the Dam of our first clutch, Cleopatra πŸ‘‘πŸ

She's a Toffeeconda het Axanthic and influenced some of the nice patterning of her hatchlings.

This little one just couldn't wait to join us 🐍

While most hatchlings spend some extra time inside the egg after pipping to finish absorbing their yolk and healing their umbilical area, this eager little one decided it was ready for the world a little sooner than expected.

Because of that, it still has some attached umbilical/yolk sac and has been separated into its own recovery cup for monitoring until it absorbs more yolk and the sac detaches on its own.

This has been a milestone I've looked forward to for a long time.

Months ago, Rufus and Cleo were paired with the hope that one day we'd reach this moment. After carefully incubating the eggs for nearly two months, we're finally watching these little hatchlings enter the world.

At the moment, we're seeing what appears to be three Toffees, three Toxics, and three beautifully patterned normal babies, with three eggs still waiting to pip.

Pairing: Normal het Toxic x Toffeeconda het Axanthic

Fun fact: Hognose hatchlings often don't all emerge on the same day. Even within the same clutch, it's completely normal for some babies to pip a day or two later than their siblings.
