🎉 October’s Pets of the Month are Louie & Olive! 🎉

From long, heartfelt greetings to walks full of adventure, playing together, and spending time with their friends at daycare, these two doodles are always a load of fun! 🐾💕

We love spending time with Louie & Olive whenever we get the chance, and we can definitely tell the feeling is mutual. Olive gives the biggest, longest hugs when we arrive, while Louie patiently waits for his turn to do the same.

They also LOVE their doggie friends! Louie makes that especially clear when he stands up on his two back feet just to get a better look when he spots them from afar. 😂

These two are full of love, personality, and playfulness, and we’re so grateful we get to be a part of their lives and share in all the fun.

Congratulations Louie & Olive, our October Pets of the Month! 🐶❤️🐶

Ever wonder if your dog would enjoy slatmill exercise? Come try it out completely FREE!

Join K9 Cardio Fitness at Paws on Tap on Wednesday, October 14, from 5–8 PM. Let your pup pick the pace on our non-motorized slatmills while we cheer them on with treats and praise.

A little cardio, a little fresh air, a very important fire hydrant meeting. Everyone’s working hard, except those already asleep on the couch.

Over 30 dogs tried the mobile dog gym at Barktoberfest 2026, and we captured 26 of them in action!

From big dogs to little ones, some loved every second, while others were a little nervous about the new experience. Everyone got to go at their own pace with plenty of treats, praise, and encouragement along the way!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and let their pups give it a try! If your dog tried it out, share your video in the comments, and tag us in any posts you make. We’d love to see them!

We’ll be at Moontown Brewing Co. today from 4–7 PM! Come grab some good food and drinks, meet adoptable dogs and cats, and hang out with fellow dog lovers. Plus, 10% of food and drink purchases in the b**r garden will help Chicken Nugget & Gang!

Bring your dog by to try the slatmill! Will they take a few cautious steps, or hop on and run like a pro? Either way, they get to set the pace, and we’d love to meet them.

See you at the b**r garden!

Don’t forget to join us at Moontown Brewing Co. this Thursday from 4:00–7:00 for an evening of pups, pints, and hopefully a little fall weather! 🍂

We’ll have adoptable dogs and cats on site waiting to meet their future families. ❤️ Who knows…your new best friend might be hanging out with us!

And there’s an easy way to help support Chicken Nugget & Gang while you’re there: 10% of food and drinks purchased in the b**r garden will go back to helping pay off our medical bills. 🐾

It looks like we’re in for some beautiful fall weather, so grab your friends, come enjoy a drink, meet some adorable adoptables, and support rescue while you’re at it!
