Puppies younger than 16 weeks should receive their first dap vaccinations between 6 and 8 weeks of age, then two more boosters 3-4 weeks apart. Dogs older than 16 weeks with no previous vaccination or an unknown history should receive two dap vaccinations 3-4 weeks apart.
This helps protect your dog from canine parvovirus, which is very serious and can be fatal. The virus attacks white blood cells and the gastrointestinal tract in dogs. Canine parvovirus is easily spread by direct contact with infected dogs, contact with f***s from infected dogs, or contact with virus-contaminated surfaces. Until a puppy has received its complete series of vaccinations, pet owners should use caution when bringing their pet to places where dogs with unknown vaccination status's frequent (such as pet shops, dog parks, and doggy daycares).
Signs of parvovirus include:
Lethargy
Loss of appetite
Vomiting
Severe, often bloody, diarrhea

The 5 Second Rule: Put the back of your hand on the pavement, if you cannot hold it there for 5 seconds it is too hot to walk your pet.

If your dog is panting heavily within a few minutes into the walk, your dog is giving you a big warning sign it is too warm and it’s time to go home. Overheated dogs can suffer heat exhaustion, heat stroke or sudden death from cardiac arrhythmias. Panting, followed by disorientation and fast, noisy breathing could signal overheating.

Please do not keep pets in hot cars. The temperature inside your vehicle can rise almost 20º F in just 10 minutes. In 20 minutes, it can rise almost 30º F...and the longer you wait, the higher it goes. At 60 minutes, the temperature in your vehicle can be more than 40 degrees higher than the outside temperature. Pets kept in hot vehicles are also at concerning risk for heat stroke.

Always keep plenty of water on hand for your pet when taking them on walks or having them outdoors in the hot weather. Remember, if you're not comfortable, chances are that your pets might be even more uncomfortable than you.
