It’s been a busy week at LVH! From a tiny guy leg fracture fix to a chicken with the dreaded bumblefoot - it’s never dull here! Drs. Desjeunes and Molter worked with Jasmine and her bumblefoot with some new treatment options and are so excited to give her this chance! Thank you docs!!!

You never know where Dr. Z will turn up next...but you can always bet it is somewhere with animals that need help! He got to spend this Saturday at the Montville Animal Welfare Initiative with the Montville ACO (and LVH staff member) Christy doing what they love to do-getting animals ready to be adopted out to forever homes!

Dr. Walker joined in April and hit the ground running!! Since he's joined us, he has provided almost 40 low cost spays/neuters for dogs and cats in rescues to help them get ready for adoption! Thank you for your love of animals and your willingness to contribute to our communities by helping stem the tide of unwanted little ones!! We are SO happy you are here!

It’s a wonderful book!!!

It is with excitement that I announce Montville Animal Welfare Initiative Inc. will be hosting a book signing/reading on Saturday, November 7th from 12noon to 1:00pm at the Raymond Library at 832 Raymond Hill Road, Oakdale, CT.

The book entitled We'll Meet Again was written by Katie Malgioglio a young author from Connecticut.

"We'll Meet Again is a love letter to an old rescue dog named Tony: my unexpected, once-in-a-lifetime companion who changed the way I see the world."

This book will touch the hearts of "dog people, animal lovers, anyone navigating the passing of a beloved pet, or those who know their time is growing short: I hope these pages can be a gentle reminder that our deepest connections are eternal, and that love shared is never love lost."

Books will be available for purchase. Registration is not required by recommended because a light lunch will be provided.
