🎉 UPDATE — WE WILL BE OPEN FRIDAY oct 2nd! 🦎

We wanted to give everyone a quick update to our previous post.

After announcing that we would need to close Friday for Cass’s surgery, one of our good friends reached out and offered to step in and help keep the store open! 💜💚

They’ll be there alongside our daughters, making sure everything keeps running and our customers can still get what they need.

We are incredibly grateful to have friends who are willing to step up for us when we need it. ❤️

So, Ramsdell’s Reptile Room WILL BE OPEN FRIDAY during our normal hours!

Thank you all for your understanding, support, and well wishes for Cass!

🚨📚🦎 ONE WEEK LEFT — AND WE HAVE A SURPRISE! 🦎📚🚨

We are officially entering the FINAL WEEK of our Annual Back to School Supply Drive with Cold-Blooded Creations and Ramsdell's Reptile Room LLC & Ramsdell Reptile Rescue

Somehow, this year's giveaway just got even better… because we're adding a SECOND PLACE WINNER! 🎉
But there’s a pretty awesome story behind this one. ❤️

Cold-Blooded Creations recently celebrated reaching 1,000 followers with a giveaway for a baby Crested Gecko.
And guess who won it?! 😂
Cassandra did!

Considering Cold-Blooded Creations is already partnering with us on this school supply drive, it felt like the universe handed us the perfect opportunity.
Instead of bringing that little gecko home, we decided to pay that win forward and add the baby Crested Gecko as our SECOND PLACE PRIZE! 🥹🦎❤️

So now we will have TWO WINNERS!

🥇 FIRST PLACE 🦎 A beautiful Leachianus Gecko from Cold-Blooded Creations
🌿 PLUS a complete handcrafted bioactive enclosure built by Cassandra Ramsdell!

🥈 SECOND PLACE 🦎 The baby Crested Gecko from Cold-Blooded Creations’ 1,000-follower giveaway!
🌿 PLUS its very own custom bioactive enclosure handcrafted by Cassandra Ramsdell!

Same mission. Same raffle. Now TWO chances to win.

☀️ POSSIBLE EARLY CLOSURE TODAY ☀️

Just a heads-up to everyone: we will most likely need to close early today due to the temperature spike.

Our store has already reached 85°F and is continuing to climb quickly. While many reptiles thrive in warm temperatures, we also care for animals such as crested geckos, frogs, and other species that can become stressed or even endangered when temperatures get too high.

The health and safety of the animals in our care will always come first. ❤️🦎

We also have to consider the people who make Ramsdell's Reptile Room possible. Our volunteers and staff shouldn't be expected to work for extended periods in unsafe temperatures either.

We always try to make these decisions with both our animals and our people in mind. If the temperature continues climbing and we cannot safely keep the store cool enough, we will be closing early.

We will keep everyone updated as the afternoon goes on. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support of us and the animals we love! 🦎🐸💚
