Impulse control is my favorite thing to work on the dogs with. To me it sets the foundation for everything else. Clear thinking, relaxed minds, less over reacting and "excitedness"

How can you practice impulse control at home?
If they get excited to go out for walks - dont bring them out until they are calm. If they go out as a ball of excitement that sets the tone for the entire walk dont let them burst through the door pulling and leading the way.

Have a place bed, mat, stool, something as a defined spot, use the tether method if you need to - and work on longer and longer durations. Have them stay in the spot while you fold laundry or cook dinner.

Have them in a sit or down while you walk circles around them in the yard, or at the park, building longer durations, or toss some treats around them for a bonus level. Wait until theyre focused on you before you release them for the sniffari.

Little things that slow them down and clear the mind, have them fully focused on you!

When I work with them, I play a little game I call "roll call"
They're on a place spot and I call each name individually. Its not as easy as it looks for them! (Or me 🤣)
But it makes them think and use their brains and they truly seem to love the callange!!
