Today, Dude got to leave the shelter and spend the day at Camp Leavenworth. 🐾❤️

He got to explore. He got to sniff new smells, feel the sunshine, and just be a dog for a little while.

And somewhere along the way, we realized something that broke our hearts…

Dude doesn’t seem to miss having a house.

He misses his **kids.** 💔

Because for Dude, home was never really about four walls, a couch, or a backyard.

**Home was his humans.**

You could see it in the way he looked at the kids. Like some part of him was searching for the little people he used to love. The ones who made his world feel complete.

And that’s the part people sometimes forget about shelter dogs.

They don’t just lose a home.

They lose *their people.*

Dude is still waiting, still loving, still hoping that somewhere out there are the humans who will make him feel like he belongs again.

Until then, we’ll keep showing him that he hasn’t been forgotten. ❤️🐾

But oh, how we wish we could tell Dude…how special he is

🐾🧘‍♀️ Our first puppy yoga was PAW-some! 🧘‍♂️🐾
Thank you Genesis Health Clubs for hosting and making these pups day!

Bailey: I stretched! 🐶✨
Copper: I sniffed! 👃🐾
Venus: I made new friends! 💕
Ella: I mostly supervised… from the floor. 😂

10/10 would do puppy yoga again. So many belly rubs, wiggles, treats, and cuddles! 🥰🐕‍🦺🧘‍♀️

Namaste… and pass the treats! 🦴💖

🐾 CUBE & DARLA HERE! 🐾

We LOVE pool days! 🌊☀️ There’s nothing better than splashing around, cooling off, and having some fun in the sun! 🐶

But you know what we’re really looking forward to? Pool days with our future families! 🥹❤️

We can’t wait to have a family of our own to make memories with — whether that means swimming, playing, soaking up the sunshine, or just hanging out together on a hot summer day. 🏡🐾

Until then, we’ll keep practicing our best pool pup skills! 😎🌊

Stay cool, everyone! And don’t forget… your new best friend might be waiting for you! 🐶❤️

Love,
Cube & Darla 🐾

🐾 Kit-Tea 2026 was a success! 🐾
We’re excited to share that two cats found their forever homes and one puppy was adopted during this year's event! ❤️
We also had several wonderful visitors who expressed interest in adopting and plan to return on Monday. We're hopeful that a few more furry friends will be heading home with their new families very soon.
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported our adoptable pets, and helped make Kit-Tea 2026 such a special event. Every adoption changes a life, and we're grateful to be part of these happy endings.
