After taking a break from our rabbitry to focus on life, raising our daughter, and getting married, we are so excited to be getting back into the rabbitry and sharing some exciting news!
We are beyond thrilled to announce a very promising potential Flemish Giant litter that should be due in about a month!
The sire of this litter is a big boy weighing in at about 19 pounds with an amazing temperament and he has an impressive show record, earning Best of Breed at the Kansas State Fair and 2nd Place Best of Show at the Leavenworth County Fair. We are incredibly thankful to be working with such a quality buck, who is proudly owned by Sandy Creek Rabbitry.
The dam is especially meaningful to us, as she comes from our breeder Jettâs final litter before we took our break. She weighs in at about 18 pounds. She carries an outstanding bloodline and has the sweet, gentle temperament that we strive for in our breeding program.
If all goes as planned, we expect these kits to make wonderful family pets, competitive show rabbits, or quality additions to breeding programs. With the sireâs proven show success and the damâs exceptional lineage and temperament, we have very high hopes for this pairing.
We would also like to give a special shoutout to Sandy Creek Rabbitry for producing outstanding rabbits across many breeds, including Flemish Giants, English Spots, English Lops, Mini Rex, Champagne dâArgents, Crème dâArgents, Bruns, Holland Lops, and Czech Frosties.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support our rabbitry during our time away. We canât wait to share updates as we get closer to kindling day and hopefully welcome this special litter into the world! đ°â¤ď¸
