Bruno was recently adopted. Here’s what his new family said:

“He’s been acclimating so well in our home. He was a little shy the first day and howled for maybe an hour at the door, but he got over that really fast. He loves pets and to give kisses. He really enjoys going on walks with Roxanne. He was curious about our cat, Beebs, almost as if he’d never seen one before. They seem to have become quite comfortable around each other quickly. He sleeps at the foot of the bed and does well to stay asleep with the rest of the family (it’s so nice to get a full eight hours). We got him a nice little bed that’s kind of in a quiet area of the house that he can lay in when he feels overwhelmed and he does enjoy it.

I thought you’d enjoy seeing some photos of the little guy and feel better to know he’s doing so well.”

Meet Dolly Parton!

Dolly may not be workin’ “9 to 5,” but she is busy stealing hearts full time. This adorable little lady has really started to come out of her shell, and we’re getting to see just how fun and lovable she truly is.

She’s sweet, social, and always ready to be involved in whatever her people are doing. Dolly has a curious streak and enjoys exploring, but she’s equally happy soaking up attention and relaxing nearby once the excitement is over.

Like any true icon, she appreciates being admired, doted on, and told she’s beautiful. Honestly, with that face, it’s hard not to.

Memphis spent an unusually long time at our shelter waiting for the right family to recognize her adventurous nature hidden behind a shy demeanor. Congratulations Memphis!

Meet Faith Hill!

This sweet little lady is already showing us she could be the star of someone’s “This Kiss” moment. At around 10 pounds, Faith may be tiny, but she’s got plenty of charm packed into that adorable little frame.

Faith has been opening up more during her time with us, and her sweet personality is becoming harder and harder to resist. She enjoys attention, likes being around her people, and has a gentle, lovable nature that makes it easy to fall for her.

Honestly, spending time with Faith just “feels like home.” She’s ready to trade shelter life for a cozy couch, loving family, and a forever audience to adore her.

To our followers in Thorndale: this is a great opportunity.

We have not even filled half way for our Thorndale spay/neuter day on Thursday May 28! This is for Thorndale city limit residents only so unfortunately we have to decline a lot of people that apply.

These surgeries are “pay what you can” so it’s at a price you can afford. Please spread the word. If we don’t fill up this month, we won’t be back for a few months.

We found this image of a beautiful dog in a field of poppies and felt it was appropriate for Memorial Day. The poppies symbolize remembrance and became synonymous with Memorial Day long ago. The poem “In Flanders Fields” from World War I was written by a Canadian soldier named John McCrae. It begins, “In Flanders fields the poppies blow between the crosses, row on row.”

We have hearts full of gratitude for all those brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We owe them a debt we can never repay.

Man, we feel like Shania is going to steal quite a few hearts. This adorable little lady has been showing off more of her personality during her time with us, and she just keeps getting sweeter by the day.

Shania is affectionate, curious, and always interested in what her people are up to. She enjoys exploring her surroundings, soaking up attention, and being included in the fun. At around 10 pounds, she’s the perfect little sidekick size for cuddles, couch time, and tagging along on daily adventures.

Like any true country superstar, Shania has plenty of charm packed into a tiny package. She’s sweet, lovable, and fully prepared to have you saying, “Man, I feel like adopting a dog.”

These three beauties are sisters Esky, Navee, and Riley. They recently turned one year old and are sweet girls. Navee is the most outgoing while her sisters are a bit shy with new people—unless you have a Churu treat ;-)

They get along well with each other but are not bonded so we are happy to adopt them out together or separately. The perfect home for each will be one where patience for them to settle in will be provided. Once they feel safe with you, you will be rewarded with their sweetness.
