Gold Ducat Kennels and Farmette Welcome to Gold Ducat Kennels & Farmette. We have been providing a safe, clean, and relaxed environm Dogs get lots of exercise on the Farmette.

We have 8 fenced acres and dogs get off-leash runs in the woods at least 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. They can relax in climate controlled indoor-outdoor runs or in play yards the rest of the day, whichever they prefer.

Still on a search for the perfect food. I seem to be coming up with more foods my dogs can't eat than what they can eat. Just found out one of my favorite foods has 3x the amount of copper than it should have. Nature's Logic wild caught sardine distinction line still seems to have the best percentages and ingredients. It has naturally occuring copper (pumpkin seeds) that meet the minimum copper requrements.

It's always nice when well-behaved day care dogs also spend the night.

I must confess, my eyes were bigger than my stomach recently when I purchased way too many baby chicks! Consequently I have several Golden Laced Wyandottes and Dominiques I would like to "place" in an egg lover's home. They are good producing heritage breeds and should be ready to lay in about a month. Skip the middle man and produce your own breakfast! Pictured are the Wyandottes. The Dominiques are cooling off in the woods.

My familiar refrain--8 acres for the dogs to play & roam on and yet, they hardly seem to want to leave a 50 foot radius of the buildings. And/or they insist on going in the play yards instead of running "free." Mr. Bundles (13 years young) has boundless energy and can't wait to run in every play yard he can get in.

In my continual search for the perfect dog food I stumbled across these gems at healthypetaustin.com (Lakeline). They fit my criteria of mostly single origin protein, organic ingredients, wild or grass fed protein sources, no peas, lentils or seed oils. Quite a contrast to the "prescription" foods. I know I can afford to feed this to Tibetan Spaniels & American Eskimo Dogs. Not so sure about Whippets & Golden Retrievers. I also found the cat food version--definitely low carb. Maybe people will finally stop asking me if my male cat is pregnant.
