Annual preventive care is worth it. Dr. Anderson on why one visit a year for a healthy pet can save you heartache later, and money too.

A yearly exam, vaccines on schedule, heartworm and flea prevention, and bloodwork once a year. That's the checklist.

Book your pet's annual visit at Pointe 183 Animal Hospital and Urgent Care.

Dr. Hu on grain-free diets: they've been associated with dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs, a condition where the heart muscle stretches and enlarges and can't contract as well.

The reason is what replaces the grain. Peas and potatoes have been linked to this heart condition.

Her advice: a grain-inclusive diet to reduce the risk. Questions about what your dog is eating? Ask at your next visit.

"I wish people knew how important dental care is."

Dr. Wilson on why a yearly dental cleaning under anesthesia matters for your pet, plus daily brushing at home. "I know that's really hard, but it definitely makes a big difference."

"If we do it every year, then they're less likely to need extractions in the future or get really bad bacterial infections in their mouth."

Is your pet due for a dental? Give us a call to schedule.

🐾 OUR TEAM IS GROWING — IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE! 👶💕

We have some VERY exciting news to share! Several members of our veterinary family will be taking maternity and paternity leave over the coming months as they welcome new little ones into their families! 🍼✨

While we’ll certainly miss having them around the clinic, we couldn’t be happier for them and their growing families. ❤️

During this time, you may notice some familiar faces away from the clinic, along with some new and additional team members helping care for your pets. Rest assured, our commitment to providing exceptional, compassionate care remains exactly the same! 🐶🐱🐾

Thank you for your patience and understanding as our team takes this special time to be with their families. We’ll keep you updated as our team members return to the clinic. 💕
