Sweet little Beatrice came in for an echocardiogram today, and she was an absolute star patient. 🩺✨ We got a peek at her tiny heart doing its thing, and those adorable ears definitely made the whole appointment even better! 💓

🚨 Public Awareness Notice: Lost & Injured Pet Scam Alert 🚨

Mountain West Veterinary Specialists has recently been made aware of a scam targeting owners of lost and missing pets.
Individuals who have posted about their lost pets on social media are being contacted by scammers claiming that their pet has been injured and brought to Mountain West Veterinary Specialists for emergency treatment.

We want to make it clear that these claims are false.

Mountain West Veterinary Specialists works closely with Animal Control agencies throughout the state of Utah. When a lost or injured pet is found and brought to our hospital, we follow county-specific protocols, which includes notifying the appropriate Animal Control agency and taking steps to identify and reunite pets with their owners.

Unfortunately, some pet owners are being led to believe that their pet has been admitted to one of our hospitals when this is not the case. We understand the stress, fear, and frustration these situations can cause, and we are saddened that individuals are taking advantage of families during an already emotional time.

🐾 When the ER Gets Ruff… We Call in the Emotional Support Kitties! 🐾

Sometimes our patients, clients, and team members need a little extra comfort during a stressful day. Thankfully, our newest crew of Emotional Support Kitties is always on duty and ready to help! 💕🐱

From tiny furry friends to plush companions, these little kitties are bringing smiles, comfort, and a few much-needed moments of happiness throughout the hospital. We even had a special guest model stop by to test out the basket and give it two paws up! 🐾

Whether you're visiting us during an emergency or we are working a busy shift, don't be surprised if you spot our Emotional Support Kitties making rounds and brightening someone's day.

At Wagging Tails Blood Bank, we're looking to add more four-legged heroes to our donor program! Every blood donation has the potential to save the life of a pet in need during an emergency, surgery, or critical illness.

Could your dog be our next superhero? 🦸‍♂️🐶🦸‍♀️🐶

Donor Requirements:
✔️ 1–7 years of age
✔️ Over 45 pounds
✔️ Current on vaccines
✔️ Current on heartworm prevention
✔️ No major medical issues

Every donation helps provide life-saving blood products to pets throughout our community.
