The Covid-19 pandemic has affected everyone in the world in so many ways. For the $25 Groomer, it has not only slowed business down to a standstill for a time, but some clients have passed away, a few clients have suffered through Covid-19, some clients have gone through financial hardship, but when clients have large, extended families and continued to ignore CDC Guidelines and travel or have get togethers, I must proceed with extreme caution so as not to be a 'Typhoid Mary' and be responsible for spreading Covid-19 to myself and others.
As I've said before, I practice all guidelines as much as possible, and as long as it isn't raining or unbearably hot, I can groom your dog outdoors.
I respect Gov. Northam's guidelines for reopening Virginia and fully expect to be fully operational August 1, 2020. That's not that far off. A very few select clients have been groomed during the quarantine; those who have adhered to the CDC requirements to the best of my knowledge.
As a result, I must raise my 'convenience fee' by $5. What that means is all grooms after August 1, 2020 will be $5 more than you have been paying, to offset the rise in my expenses. There is more sanitation required with my equipment, my clothing and my transportation than in the past. My blades are requiring more individual attention, are replaced more frequently now and their cost has gone up significantly, as well as shopping costs and availability.
