In addition to retrieving items their owners need, they can perform essential tasks like flipping a light switch, pushing buttons and buzzers, and opening doors. 🚨 A Life-Threatening Emergency Turned Success Story 🐾

This male patient came to us unable to urinate—a true medical emergency. After examination, we determined he had a urinary blockage caused by bladder stones.

Our veterinary team performed a cystotomy (surgery to remove the bladder stones), relieving the obstruction and giving him the chance to recover comfortably.

The stones have been sent to a laboratory for analysis. Identifying the stone type helps us develop a personalized prevention plan, which may include a prescription diet, increased water intake, or other recommendations to reduce the risk of future stones.

⚠️ Signs of a urinary blockage include:
• Straining to urinate
• Frequent trips outside or to the litter box with little or no urine produced
• Crying or vocalizing while trying to urinate
• Blood in the urine
• Lethargy, vomiting, or loss of appetite

If your pet is unable to urinate, don’t wait—this is an emergency that requires immediate veterinary care.
