Did you know we have a “the longer you wait, the cheaper we get” policy?

Okay… our dogs are slightly offended that we phrased it that way. They prefer to call it “a limited-time opportunity to recognize our undeniable greatness.” 😂

But the facts are facts: all pets who have been waiting with us for 30+ days have their adoption fees waived! And no, that doesn’t mean you’re getting the clearance aisle version of a pet. (The dogs requested we make that very clear.)

Because here’s the thing: the longer a dog waits, the harder shelter life becomes. The zoomies turn into pacing, the smiles get a little harder to find, and even the best dogs can start to look like they’re having an existential crisis about why everyone else got picked. This is not supposed to be their home.

Your new best friend still comes fully loaded with:
🐶 Spay/neuter
🐶 A microchip
🐶 Select vaccines
🐶 Heartworm treatment, if needed
🐶 A little starter pack with food and a toy or two to make their first days home easier

Right now, we have almost 50 dogs who have been waiting 30+ days or more. Fifty amazing personalities. Fifty different stories. Fifty dogs who are wondering why everyone keeps walking past their kennel when they are clearly a 12/10.

You can browse our available pet albums right here on Facebook, that has most of them highlighted, visit our website (updated in real time), or — our favorite option — come meet them in person.

Trust us… it only takes one wag, one goofy smile, or one “please pick me” look to completely change your plans for the day. ❤️

Your next best friend is waiting. We’d love to introduce you. (super model has been adopted - saying good bye is serious business)

🎓 Dylan’s Report Card Is In… and he’s officially the teacher’s pet. (Mostly because he’s highly motivated by snacks.)

Dylan, ID #115960, is a one-year-old, 36-pound bundle of happiness who has been waiting since March 20 for someone to see the amazing dog behind the kennel door.

And guess what? He has receipts.

During two separate adventures outside the shelter, Dylan showed everyone what a sweetheart he truly is. At a community event, he met people of all ages — including little humans around 3-4 years old — and was gentle and friendly with everyone who stopped to say hello. He also met several dogs passing by and handled those greetings like a polite little gentleman.

His Dog Day Out was equally impressive. He explored Rhodes Jordan Park, walked past families, kids, another dog, and even a very suspicious-looking duck (according to Dylan, probably), with nothing but curiosity. He rode well in the car, tolerated a full spa day (bath and blow dryer included), enjoyed a Bruster’s ice cream, and proved he has the very important life skill of accepting frozen treats with enthusiasm.

Sure, he starts out excited — he’s a young dog with places to go and people to meet! But once the wiggles are out, Dylan is smart, affectionate, eager to learn, and incredibly treat motivated.

The best part? This happy boy loves being close to his people. During his bath, he would lean his head into his volunteer for comfort.

⏰ Dylan needs placement by June 20 at 4:00 PM.

Don’t let a kennel be the place where Dylan’s story ends. His adoption fees are waived and he still comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped with a goodie bag to help get started… Come meet the boy who keeps earning straight A’s everywhere he goes.

❤️ Every adoption includes spay/neuter, microchip, select vaccines, and heartworm treatment if needed.

This 9-year-old gentleman weighs 37 pounds and was originally with us back in 2019. He arrived back at the shelter on June 2 after he was found on his own in the Lawrenceville area. We've attempted to contact the registered owner, but after 10 days with no luck, Borbuja, ID #66375, is officially ready to start a new chapter.

During his photoshoot, Borbuja was friendly, curious, and gently explored everything around him. He can be a little timid at first, but who could blame him? He's had a lot of unexpected changes lately. Despite it all, he continues to greet the world with a sweet demeanor and a hopeful heart. He's ready to stop wondering what comes next and start enjoying the comfort of a family who will love him for the rest of his days.

We haven't dog tested, and the cats have politely declined involvement, citing a scheduling conflict with napping. For the most up-to-date information, give our kennel staff a call, they're happy to share the latest details. Meet-and-greets are required because even sweet seniors deserve to find the perfect fit.

Come meet this deserving boy and see if he belongs in your home. If you can't adopt, sharing his post might help reunite him with the future he's been waiting for.

Mary, ID #117456, is 1 year old, weighs 57 pounds, and arrived on June 2 from the Lawrenceville area alongside her close companion, Beatrice.

During her photoshoot, Mary was affectionate, friendly, and eager for gentle attention. She happily showed off her sitting skills, but beneath her sweet personality is a timid girl who's still figuring out this whole shelter experience. Like Beatrice, Mary seems to draw comfort from having a familiar friend nearby.

We haven't dog tested, and the cats have once again declined participation in our social studies program. For the most up-to-date information, give our kennel staff a call, they'll have all the latest details. Meet-and-greets are required because every lasting friendship starts with a proper introduction.

Come meet Mary and see if she's the missing piece of your family. Or share her post so her story can reach the person she's been waiting for.

Say hello to sweet Beatrice, ID #117455. This 1-year-old girl weighs 62 pounds and arrived on June 2 from the Lawrenceville area with her very best friend, Mary.

During her photoshoot, Beatrice was incredibly timid and submissive. There's still something wonderfully baby-like about her gentle, sensitive nature. She also knows how to sit and is doing her best to be brave. And while Beatrice and Mary clearly take comfort in one another, we'd love to see them continue their journey together if the right family comes along.

We haven't dog tested, and the cats have politely informed us they're observers, not participants. For the most up-to-date information, give our kennel staff a call, they know all the latest details. Meet-and-greets are required because friendships, just like families, sometimes take a little time to blossom.

Could you be the patient, loving person Beatrice has been waiting for? Come meet her and see what a special girl she is. Or share her post to help her story reach someone who understands shy dogs.

Merida, ID #117372, is 3 years old, weighs 65 pounds, and arrived on May 29 with her puppies after they were found together in the Snellville area. One by one, her babies found homes of their own. Now this sweet mama is still waiting for someone to choose her.

During her photoshoot, Merida was everything you'd hope for in a companion. She's affectionate, loving, and eager to be close to her people. She happily showed off her sitting and laying down skills, though she can be a little timid at first. It's hard not to root for a dog like Merida. She raised her family, watched them leave the nest, and now deserves a family of her own.

We haven't dog tested, and the cats have once again declined involvement in shelter matchmaking activities. For the latest updates, give our kennel staff a call, they'll have all the newest information. Meet-and-greets are required because even the sweetest dogs deserve the chance to choose their people, too.

Come meet this deserving mama and see if she's been waiting for you. If your home isn't quite ready for another dog, sharing her post could help her find the happy ending she's earned.

Lemmy, ID #117311, has been packed and ready for his next adventure for approximately... ten days. This 1-year-old, 45-pound bundle of enthusiasm arrived on May 27 from the Norcross area. We had hoped a reunion with his family was in the works, but after waiting patiently, Lemmy is officially accepting applications for a brand-new future.

During his photoshoot, he was friendly, energetic, treat motivated, and eager to show off his basic commands. Life is exciting, people are exciting, treats are exciting... honestly, everything seems exciting if you're Lemmy. He's the kind of dog who will keep you moving, keep you laughing, and probably keep you wondering where he gets all that energy.

We haven't dog tested, and the cats have chosen to remain completely uninvolved in this process. For the freshest updates, give our kennel staff a call, they've got all the details. Meet-and-greets are required because even adventurous spirits deserve to find the right fit.

If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who's ready to tackle life's adventures with you, Lemmy would love to apply for the position. Come meet him and see if he's the missing piece of your family. If you know someone who needs more excitement in their life, tag them or share his post.

Have you ever met a dog who seems convinced that every day is supposed to be an adventure? Meet Edison, ID #115286.

He's 1 year old, weighs 65 pounds, and originally came to us on February 9. During his photoshoot, he showed off exactly why people fall for him so quickly. He was friendly, goofy, and very treat motivated. Whether snacks were involved or not, Edison was happy to be part of the action.

Not long after arriving, Edison was adopted, and we thought he was off living his happily-ever-after. Then on June 4, he found himself back at the shelter after being found near the Family Dollar in the Lawrenceville area. We've made multiple attempts to contact his registered owner, but after 10 long days with no response, Edison is officially ready to move forward and start his next chapter.

We haven't completed dog-to-dog testing, and the cats have declined participation in all official interviews. For the latest information about Edison, give us a call, our kennel staff can tell you more about how he's doing. Meet and greets are required because finding the right fit matters for everyone involved.

Come meet Edison or share his post to help him find the forever home he's been waiting for.

If Pierogi were a person, he'd probably be the guy who waves at everyone in the neighborhood. This 3-year-old, 72-pound happy-go-lucky pup arrived on May 31 after he was found hanging out by himself in the Auburn area.

During his photoshoot, Pierogi was all smiles, all friendliness, and all energy. He was busy checking out his surroundings, making new friends, and generally acting like life is one big adventure waiting to happen. It's hard not to smile when you're around him. His cheerful personality is contagious, and he seems to approach every new experience with enthusiasm and optimism.

We haven't dog tested, and the cats have informed us that they're no longer accepting survey requests. For the latest information, our kennel staff has all the current details and would be happy to help. Meet-and-greets are required because sometimes the best relationships start with a simple hello.

Ready to add a little extra happiness to your life? Come meet Pierogi, ID #117396, and see if his smile wins you over. Or share his post and help this lovable guy find the family he's been searching for.
