Woke up to 6 degrees this morning, the animals have stayed warm, or at least had the choice to…. I can’t remember when we have had ice this long. In January 1978 the schools in the Mammoth Cave area were closed all month. I’m thinking it was extreme cold. But I don’t remember the ice.

Jennifer and I have been working to keep ice out of water buckets, rotating out and using a strainer to get the ice chunks out…. Plenty of hay, keeping everyone on schedule as much s possible…..Yep our guys are spoiled!
We have been blessed to be able to keep up the pace and keep everyone safe.

Thankful for the much-needed rain this week. Even the horses were kicking up their heels today!
Zig and Claire had to make sure they got a good roll in after being clean for the horse show this past weekend.
