Sammy boy was returned to the shelter MORE THAN ONCE for his reactivity.
Sampson has not had an easy life, and has made plenty of mistakes. Skyler saw he had more to offer, and the two of them made it happen. Sampson just needed ONE person to not give up. Now for the first time Sampson needs help from more than just his mom. The dedication Skyler has put into this dog—- she has received back 10x over... She has given him the life most dogs dream of. She didn’t give up on him then, and shes sure as hell not giving up now.
Plus, Sampson & I have the same birthday. I mean come on now, BIRTHDAY BUDDIES WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN? ⛄️ ❤️😂🐾
“Sampson has a squamous cell carcinoma.
The good news is this cancer is not known to metastasize other places in the body and it can be curable. Unfortunately, the only good option that we have is a partial jaw removal where the tumor is located. He’s gunna lose 75% of the left side of his lower jaw. So scary. If we don’t go through with the removal we will probably have less than a year before the tumor fully takes over. Sampson will have to relearn how to eat and drink but the changes for him will be mostly cosmetic. He is gunna look goofy as ever, you’ll probably notice his tongue hanging out and a lot more drool (if that’s even possible😂).
If you made it this far and would like to donate to His surgery is estimated anywhere between $3500 and $6000. “
Edit to add: $6000 is looking closer to the current estimate
Samson although not MY dog, he is one of my pack.
When we were going through a similar situation last year with Kodiak, Skyler was so much support to our family.
