If the light on your tank came with the hood, it's probably not strong enough for high light plants. 🌿 These plants need a proper LED or T5 fixture to actually show their color. Rotala goes pink, Ludwigia goes red, carpets spread the way they're supposed to. The trade off is more trimming, CO2, and keeping an eye on algae, but once you get the routine down it's manageable. Are you running low tech or high light right now?

"Arrived incredibly healthy, vibrant green, in time, and the seller gave me a cool plant identification chart and panda cory sticker. Zero complaints! Be aware, 'dwarf' sag is not a small plant, it will outgrow your tank, especially in low light. Do your research!" 🌿

Love a review that comes with a PSA! Dwarf sag is a total workhorse in the right setup, it just needs room to actually be dwarf-sized relative to everything else, ha. Glad the chart and cory sticker made it a fun unboxing too!

"I ordered the 12 pack of plants along with a few other individual plants and was not disappointed. They did a great job of picking diverse plants and had few repeats of what they sent in the 12 pack and my individual plant orders. My 40 breeder is off to a great start and I can't wait for it to grow in and become a jungle." – Harper 🌿

Harper ordered the done-for-you pack plus a few individual plants and got good variety across both, not the same plant showing up five times. The 40 breeder is planted up and the jungle phase is coming. We want to see it when it gets there!

"I'm very excited to see what my bulb is going to transform into! Currently I've had it floating in a breeder box in my 75 gallon tank. It's been there for a week and it's still floating. I'm hoping eventually it will sink and grow! I'm optimistic it will! Thank you guys!" – Cody 🌿

Totally normal, Cody! The bulb just needs to soak up enough water to get heavy and sink, then the roots take over. Watch for a little sprout or root and it'll take off from there. A Tiger Lotus in a 75 is going to be gorgeous, keep us posted! 🌱

Older leaves turning yellow, growth slowing down, stems looking thin? That's usually nitrogen deficiency showing up in a planted tank. 🌿 It tends to happen in heavily planted setups with a light fish load or strong filtration, since there's not enough waste around to keep nitrogen levels up. A bit more feeding or a fertilizer with nitrogen in it usually gets things growing again. Have you checked your nitrogen levels lately?

Tiny fish, big glow-up. 🌿Fire Ember Tetras stay under an inch but their orange color pops hard against green plants, especially with some driftwood and leaf litter in the mix. They're peaceful, easy to keep, and look their best in schools of 6 or more. Fish are 10% off right now, available in a school of 6 or 12.
