National Ghost Hunting Day!

Since the elf boys are scared of ghosts, the girls went out looking.

They found a sweet ghost named ‘Bella’.

If you’ve ever ghost hunted, let us know where.

There are a handful of places the girls have been. Texas even has a few places. The Merger Hotel, Jefferson Hotel, and Baker Hotel.
Pennsylvania has the Eastern State Penitentiary. Louisiana has the LaLaurie Mansion (you can’t go inside anymore). Colorado has the Stanley Hotel, where The Shining was filmed. 😳

Think about the ghost stories that were told when you were younger.

If you believe in paranormal or alternative realities, enjoy yourself today.

🦃 A DECADE OF DINNERS!!!

This is the 10th year the kennel is collecting monetary donations for local families to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner.

I will be collecting cash until Sat, 14 Nov and then hand it over to Susie McCoslin. She then contacts local families from a list given to her by the non profit organization we deal with all year. Once she has a grocery list, she and her wonderful crew of helpers hit the grocery stores and purchase items each family needs.

Last year, Susie was offered space at Glen Echo Brewing in Wylie to sort items and get the meals together. They have offered the space to sort and put family meals together again this year. (So, thank you to Glen Echo Brewing.) Once the meals are packed, they get delivered to each family to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner.

If you haven’t been to Glen Echo Brewing, by all means see what they have to offer.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the tip jar so far this summer. I contacted Audrey at WCCCC to see what was needed now and she said breakfast items.

Today, breakfast items were dropped off at WCCCC in Wylie.

A total of 60 single serve cereal boxes, 34 Pop Tart boxes, 5 large Cheerio boxes, 10 large Lucky Charm boxes, 8 boxes of pancake mix, and 24 containers of strawberry jelly.

A couple bags of toiletries, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and bars of soap were also donated.

If you’d like to learn more about Wylie Community Christian Care Center, the link is below. The kennel has been working with them for about 10 years. They help local families with short term needs.

UPDATE….

The dogs have found a great home together!!!

Looking for a permanent home(s) -

An elderly customer recently suffered a handful of health issues that have left her wheelchair bound and now living in a care center. She is not allowed to keep her dogs at the center.

After contacting multiple rescues and foster agencies, being told they were all over run, the 2 dogs are here at the kennels.

👉🏼 ‘Pita’ - black & white terrier/chihuahua mix, about 9 years old, said to be 14 lbs, but I think she’s smaller. She is spayed and current on vaccines.

👉🏼 ‘Pebbles’ - tan chihuahua, about 10 years old, close to 7 pounds, spayed and current on vaccines.

Both girls love to cuddle and always accept scratches.

They would love to stay together, but can live apart if needed.

If you know someone looking or know another senior lady who would like a companion or 2, please text, message, or call the kennel and I’ll see if we can set up a visit.

It’s springtime!

Anybody else get to open the windows and doors today?

Jupiter has been sitting on her veranda, loving the warm air and watching the birds.

Hope you were warm and made it through that short freeze we just had in Texass.

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays this month.

The kennel closed 2025 with Double Trouble!
Maggie the cocker & Maggie the pitty mix.

The kennel opened 2026 with a trifecta!
Daisy the dobie, Daisy the yellow lab, and Daisy the golden.

Hope you all have a safe healthy start to 2026.

Happy New Year.

Time to start over. Don’t worry about starting big…just start small and let it build. 💪🏽
