Searching for another bird group besides Dallas Area Backyard Ducks. I cannot comment on any posts, and my content has reached the max of 5 pending approval. I've missed a number of ducks in need. Recommendations are appreciated.

In the past 6 weeks our little rescue has lost a sanctuary old timer and a sanctuary newcomer. Josh the St. Bernard x was with us for well over a year and a half. His very senior dad was going into care and Josh could not go. Bunny the little dachshund female came out of the shelter dumped there. She spent 3 months or so with us before it became clear that she was ill. She was in kidney failure. Josh was losing weight and couldn't rise on his own anymore. We could not in good conscience allow him the indignity of defecating and urinating on himself. We could tell he was not happy with the situation and he quit eating. So like we always do, we stood with them as they crossed the bridge. Cried over them, kissed them, told them they were loved. No matter how much time a sanctuary dog spends here, he or she is loved as if they had spent their entire lives here. Run free and Easy in cool breezes Bunny and Josh. North Texas giving day is coming up soon. We would appreciate any and all support to continue our mission of intaking dogs like Josh and Bunny to ease their final days whether it's years or months.

I just heard something disturbing. Apparently there's a biologist in charge of rounding up all of the Muscovy ducks in a specific Park in the Dallas area and eliminating them. They are considered an invasive species. I don't know about anyone else but these birds are not illegal to own or breed and it seems to me that if Dallas would just let people know they can come down and get as many of the Muscovy duck said they want most of these birds would find ponds elsewhere. What do y'all think about this? They could literally charge five bucks per duck and fill the city's coffers with something, help the rest of us who are constantly looking for females to even out our flocks, and not kill a bunch of innocent birds. Opinions?

Anyone looking to re home female ducks I do not care what breed I do not eat them they live out their lives but I have a little bit of an imbalance right now so if you took in ducks or you bought ducks and didn't realize whatever habit they have is causing you issues please please consider donating them to my rescue shoot me a text 214493-3313 they will be very happy here
