The first step to fulfilling our dreams of breeding and raising quality mules is arriving in May! Out of a registered Quarter Horse mare and a jack that is a son of Texas Scooter.

Last Friday was the big day for the horses we have been working with and preparing for their ABCCMM Inspection at Vista da Serra Marchadors .
Foals are inspected for any defects, and then any swirls or marks are noted, and they receive a microchip.
3 year olds get measurements taken to make sure they are within breed standards, then are ridden to test their gait. Afterward, if they pass, (which they all did!) they receive the Mangalarga Marchador brand, and are officially registered.

Had a fun day at a ranch sorting competition. We brought Jill, who is available for sale. She was completely unphased by everything and was rock solid all day!
We ended up 3rd team, and won a little of the jackpot.
Last picture, our kiddo got on her at the end to bump the cattle around a little. Can't say enough good things about this girl! She is just solid all around.

CWS Miss Colonel 2017 Dun Mare

"Jill" is an exceptional mare that you don't want to miss out on!

Ranchy and ready to work. Has a big motor and isn't afraid to use it, but can fall asleep and our kids have ridden her with close supervision in a controlled environment.

Very nice foundation bloodlines with Orphan Drift and Colonel Freckles on her papers, so she'd make an amazing broodmare, too.
