🌱 Your Garden Has Entered Its Recovery Era.

Let's be honest.
Back in spring, we all had big plans.

Now it's late summer and some gardens are thriving, some are hanging on by a thread, and some look like they survived a natural disaster.

The good news?
You don't have to throw in the towel just yet.

Now is the perfect time to:
✔ Pull dead plants
✔ Clean up diseased foliage
✔ Refresh mulch
✔ Feed plants that are still producing
✔ Get weeds under control
✔ Start planning your fall garden

A successful garden isn't about perfection.
It's about learning, adapting, and figuring out what worked (and what absolutely did not).

And if your tomatoes taught you a lesson this year... you're not alone. 🍅😂

👇 What's the biggest thing your garden taught you this season?

Season Finale: The Garden Comeback Episode 🌱🎬

Not every garden ends the season looking like a magazine cover.

Some end with:
🍅 A few great tomatoes
🥒 One cucumber that got way too big
🌱 Valuable lessons
😂 A healthy dose of humility
And honestly... that's gardening.

Before you call it quits, take a little time to clean up, refresh your beds, and start thinking about fall planting.

Because in South Mississippi, gardening season isn't over yet.

👇 What's your biggest gardening win (or funniest failure) from this year?

Have you ever noticed your dog has that one spot in the yard?

Maybe it's under the porch. Maybe it's beside the shrubs. Maybe it's that patch of shade they claim every afternoon.

Well... chances are they're not the only ones who like it.

When people treat for fleas outside, they often spray the entire yard. But the truth is, fleas are much more likely to be hanging out where your pets spend their time; cool, shaded areas where they rest and escape the heat.

So before you empty a bottle trying to cover every blade of grass, start where your pet hangs out the most.

Need help figuring out the right products? Stop by Town & Country Feed Store. We'd be glad to help you put together a flea control plan that works.

Every summer, gardeners across Mississippi hit a point where they walk outside, look at their garden, and think:
"Well... it had a good run."

Before you pull everything up, take a closer look.

Sometimes you're dealing with:
☀️ Heat stress
😴 End-of-season fatigue
🦠 Disease pressure
💧 Watering issues
And believe it or not, not all ugly plants are dead plants.

A little yellowing, curling, or stress is completely normal after months of heat, humidity, bugs, and producing vegetables.

This infographic will help you figure out whether your garden needs water, recovery, treatment... or simply a little grace.

👇 What's hanging on for dear life in your garden right now?

Garden ER: Summer Survival Edition 🩺🌱

Patient Complaint:
"My whole garden looks burnt up."

Current symptoms:
☀️ Crispy leaves
🍂 Yellowing plants
😩 Wilting
🦠 Spots and disease

Diagnosis:
Summer happened.

The good news is that not every stressed-looking plant is beyond saving.
Town & Country Feed Store will help you determine whether you're dealing with heat stress, watering issues, disease, or simply a plant that's nearing the end of its season.

Because after a South Mississippi summer, most gardens look a little rough around the edges.

👇 Be honest... which plant in your garden is currently causing the most drama? 😂🌱

Never underestimate what you’re capable of. 💚

The same kid feeding before school, rinsing in the cold, and putting in the work day after day is building something bigger than banners and buckles. 💪🐮

Great things don’t happen overnight — they happen through consistency, belief, and refusing to quit when things get hard.

Keep dreaming big. Keep working hard. You’re capable of more than you think. 🌟

Summer in South Mississippi brings plenty of challenges for cattle producers.

Mud.
Heat.
Flies.
Pinkeye.
Foot rot.

If you've spent enough afternoons catching cattle to doctor eyes or lame feet, you know how quickly it can eat up your time.

Purina Wind & Rain Availa 4 with Clarifly helps support hoof health, immune function, and reduces fly pressure—all from your mineral feeder.

It's one simple management change that can help you spend less time treating problems and more time getting work done.

Stop by our Laurel location and let's find the right mineral program for your herd.

For years, we've had conversations with horse owners about feed.

Many were feeding all-stock because that's what they'd always fed. It's familiar, it's worked for a lot of people, and it's been a common choice for years.

But those conversations got us thinking.

Horses have different nutritional needs than cattle, goats, and sheep. So why not offer a feed designed specifically for them?

That's why we partnered with Purina to create T&C 12-8 Horse Feed, a quality pelleted feed made exclusively for Town & Country Feed Store.

We're not here to tell you you've been doing it wrong. We're simply excited to offer another option for horse owners who want a feed built specifically for horses.

The next time you're in the store, ask us why we made it. We'd love to hear about your horses and help you find the right feed for them.
