This sweet face is a perfect example of something I talk about with clients every day ✂️🐾

A lot of people ask for that full, fluffy, round teddy bear face—and I totally get it, it’s adorable. But part of my job is making sure expectations match what your dog’s coat can realistically achieve.

Not every coat type has the density, texture, or growth pattern needed to hold that perfectly round shape. Sometimes going shorter or shaping differently is what keeps your pup looking their best.

My goal will always be to work with your dog’s coat, not against it—so they leave looking cute, balanced, & happy 💕

While a client was here dropping off their pup for a groom just now, she spotted a small white/tan dog (Shih Tzu size-ish) running up the alley behind my building with a cone on. Looked like he may have just had surgery 😞

The client that saw the dog tried to call for him but he ran off. I then went out to check but couldn’t find him. Please keep an eye out and share if you can—hoping he gets home safe.
