Please read about Joshua and his call to missions this summer
Hello everybody! My name is Joshua Bartolotto, and I am a sophomore in college at the
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). Over the past two years, I have joined many
organizations like the Occupational and Physical Therapy club, the Men’s Volleyball Club
Team, and Cru, a Christian ministry on campus. I have built many friendships and connections
while pursuing my goal of becoming a physical therapist, all while furthering my walk with the
Lord and Christian community. Cru has especially been a big part of fostering my faith and
providing genuine Christian friendships.
Cru isn’t unique to UTC. It’s a Christian ministry that has a presence on over 3,500
college campuses across the nation and the world. It’s because of this ministry that I have grown
in my relationship with Jesus Christ and come to desire the spreading of the Gospel.
This summer, I have a fantastic opportunity to take part in one of Cru’s summer missions.
I’m heading to beautiful Anchorage, Alaska, where about 20 other students and Cru staff will
join me in spreading the Good News of Jesus in the Anchorage community and pursuing deeper
relationships with God, all in the setting of the rugged Alaskan wilderness!
Anchorage is Alaska’s largest city, and with that comes diversity and greater
opportunities to meet people’s needs in the name of Jesus. My time on the Alaska Summer
Mission will be focused on exploring Alaska’s cultural landscape and connecting people to Jesus
and Christian community. I’ll be equipped with invaluable spiritual leadership and ministry skills
that I can take with me back to my campus!
In order to make this opportunity possible, I will need a team of ministry partners who
will give to Cru to cover the costs of room and board for the summer, as well as transportation.
All gifts will be earmarked for my summer mission expenses.
By June 12, I will need a total of $4311. Would you be in prayer that I would rely on the
Lord and that I can raise the money needed, or if you feel called to donate an amount that is
comfortable to you. Whatever amount you can give, it will be the right amount. Regardless of
how God leads you to give, please keep me in your prayers as I prepare for this Summer Mission
and head to Alaska.
