❤️ SWEET TEA’S SURGERY UPDATE — WE’RE AT 66%! ❤️

Y’all… 66% of the way there! Every single person who has donated, shared Sweet Tea’s story, prayed for him, or cheered this little boy on has helped get us here. We truly appreciate every bit that has come in. ❤️

And his little girl is still working right alongside us. She’s switched from cookies to baking muffins, determined to help her little “spirit animal” get his surgery. 🧁 Her sister has joined in too and is making bracelets with little paw-print charms to help Sweet Tea. 🐾

How can you not love these girls and their determination to help this little boy? 🥹❤️

Now, come on y’all… let’s take that 66% all the way to 100%! I want us to know that Sweet Tea’s surgery is covered and this boy can get the repair he needs, finally eat solid food safely, and then make his way into the arms of the little girl who is already working so hard for him.

☕❤️ SKIP A SIP FOR SWEET TEA ❤️☕
Even one skipped sip gets him one step closer.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank y’all. Sweet Tea has one incredible village standing behind him. ❤️

❤️ ANOTHER WAY TO HELP SWEET TEA ❤️

I completely understand that some people may be hesitant about sending money toward Sweet Tea’s surgery. And that is okay. ❤️

As most of you know, this little boy is drinking a LOT of Supplemental Milk right now. Because of his cleft palate and the risk of aspiration pneumonia, we are being extremely careful with what goes into that little mouth.

So I wanted to give everyone another way to help.

I have put together a wish list for Sweet Tea that includes the Supplemental Milk he is drinking.

He has teeth now so our miracle ni***es are taking a beating because he thinks he has to wrestle with the ni***es likes it fight night 😅 what he doesn't realize is he destroying his life line 🤦‍♀️ but he is a teething puppy hints the soft toys 😉

And here’s what I’m going to do:

🐾 For every container of Supplemental Milk purchased for Sweet Tea, I will personally put that same dollar amount into his surgery fund.

So if someone sends $25 worth of his milk, that's $25 I don't have to spend on milk — and I will put that $25 toward his surgery.

You're still helping us get this little boy to the surgery he needs, just in a different way. ❤️

There is never any pressure to help. Sharing Sweet Tea’s story means more than you know, too.

I’ll put the information for his wish list in the comments. 🐾❤️

And the plush toys because he can't chew on hard pointy toys!

🐾❤️ GOOD FRIDAY MORNING FROM SWEET TEA! ❤️🐾

We have a happy little update this morning… Sweet Tea is doing really good! ❤️

And y’all, this little boy can put away some milk! 😂 Sweet Tea is drinking 60 cc’s at a time, 3–4 times a day—so trust me, this boy is getting fed! 🍼❤️

Feeding him is a little different, though. We pretty much have to sit Sweet Tea straight up and down with his head looking upward while he drinks. This helps the milk go straight down his throat instead of getting into the opening in his palate. Every bottle takes a little extra care, but whatever this boy needs, we’re going to do it. ❤️

Sweet Tea can eat solid food, but because of the opening in his palate, it comes with a high risk of aspiration pneumonia. He’s already fought that battle, and this little fellow has been through enough. We’re simply not willing to take that chance again.

So until we can get him to surgery, milk it is. 🍼🐾

If you haven’t read Sweet Tea’s original story, we have it pinned at the top of our page. Please take a minute to read it and share it. Every share helps keep his story moving.

And if this little boy has touched your heart…

A few of y’all have been asking about Ariel and Zeke, our Boxers… well, here they are! 🐾❤️

And of course, Ditto had to get in the pictures too. 😂 That boy can’t stand for anybody else to have a photo shoot without photobombing it!

Although, to be fair… I was fixing to get the water hose out, so Ditto wasn’t really worried about pictures. He thought it was WATER TIME! 💦🤣

Never a dull moment around here with this crew. ❤️

I’M NOT CRYING… YOU’RE CRYING. 🥹❤️ WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR WHERE SWEET TEA IS GOING…

So many of you have asked where Sweet Tea will be going after his surgery and recovery.

I think it’s finally time to tell you. ❤️

The day Sweet Tea was born, a little girl saw his picture on my page and asked her mom why he looked different.

Her mom explained that Sweet Tea was born with a cleft palate just like she was, but Sweet Tea was also born with a cleft lip.

And suddenly, different didn’t seem so different anymore. ❤️

This little girl knows what it means to be born with a cleft palate. She has already been through multiple surgeries herself. And once she understood that she and Sweet Tea shared something so special, she looked at her mom and said…

“That’s my spirit animal. Can we get him?” 🥹❤️

This was before his seven-week wellness check. Before we knew how severe his cleft palate was. Before we knew he would need a $6,000 surgery.

When she found out what Sweet Tea needed, she didn’t just feel sorry for him.

She decided she was going to help him.

She and her siblings started getting up early and baking cookies to sell for Sweet Tea. And they’ve kept right on baking, determined to help him get the surgery he needs.

After all, this isn’t just any little puppy to her—Sweet Tea is the little boy she calls her “spirit animal.” ❤️

Through all of this, Sweet Tea has reminded me of something I hope I never forget:

Humanity is not gone.

I see it in this little girl who looked at a puppy born different and saw a little piece of herself. I see it in her siblings getting up early and baking cookies beside her. And I see it in every single person who has helped Sweet Tea in any way.

Every donation. Every share. Every prayer. Every encouraging word. Every person who looked at this little boy and decided his life was worth fighting for. ❤️

This little girl and her siblings are doing what they can do. So many of you have done what you can do. And somehow, all of those acts of kindness are coming together for one little boy who just needs his chance.

So… where is Sweet Tea going after his surgery and he’s healed?

He’s going home to the little girl who saw his picture on the very first day of his life, wondered why he looked different… and then learned that maybe they weren’t so different after all. 🥹❤️

The little girl who calls him her spirit animal.

I truly cannot think of anywhere in this world Sweet Tea belongs more.

Maybe Sweet Tea didn’t just find his person.

Maybe these two were meant to find each other. ❤️🐾

If Sweet Tea’s story touched your heart and you’d like to help get this little boy through his surgery and home to the little girl who has loved him from the very beginning… ❤️

❤️ WE MADE IT TO 50% FOR SWEET TEA! ❤️

Y’all… HALFWAY THERE! I am absolutely amazed by the love surrounding this little boy. So many people have fallen in love with our tiny fighter and become part of his village. Sweet Tea hasn’t given up—and look at all of you showing him that we’re not giving up on him either. ❤️

For those just joining Sweet Tea’s story, he was born with a cleft lip and a split cleft palate. When he eats or drinks, it can pass into his nasal cavity and be aspirated into his lungs, putting him at constant risk for aspiration pneumonia. He just battled another round the past couple of days, but thankfully, our little fighter is feeling much better—good enough to come out of his incubator for a picture! ❤️🐾

We have carried this baby HALFWAY to his surgery. Now let’s show Sweet Tea just how big his village really is and get him the rest of the way to 100%.

❤️🐾 43% FOR SWEET TEA! 🐾❤️

Y’all… we have reached 43% of what Sweet Tea needs for his surgery! ❤️

I couldn’t be happier or more thankful. This little boy has fought through more in his short little life than he ever should have had to — and somehow, he just keeps fighting.

Now I need your help getting his story a little farther. ❤️

Please, please SHARE Sweet Tea’s story with your friends and family.

Your share costs nothing, but it could reach the very person who helps us get him there.

And if you can spare the price of just one drink…

We are already 40% of the way to Sweet Tea’s surgery! 🥹 And that is absolutely AMAZING!

I’m not looking at how far we have to go. I’m looking at how many people have already decided this little boy is worth helping.

Sweet Tea has fought so hard just to get this far. Now, little by little, we’re getting him closer to the surgery that can change his life. ❤️

It doesn’t take one person doing something huge. It takes a whole lot of us doing something small.

💙 HEY… IT’S ME, SWEET TEA. 🐾💙
Y’ALL…… I GOTTA BE BRAVE AGAIN. 🥺

I been tryin’ really hard to get bigger and stronger…

But somethin’ happened again. 😔

Looks like this little boy has another hurdle to jump. 🐾

But first… guess what??

I WEIGH 2.8 POUNDS NOW!! 🥹💙

Look at me growin’!

But today Miss Cindy had to take me back to the dogter.

And when we got home… she got my inkubater ready again. 😔

Yep…

I got newmonia again. 🥺

The dogter says cuz of the slit in my soft palate, sometimes when I eat, stuff can get down in my lungs where it ain’t sposta go.

And that can make this little boy real sick.

So for a few days, I gotta go back in my inkubater, take my antybiotiks, and have me a little oxy-gun to help me breathe. 😔💙

I don’t really like bein’ back in there…

but Miss Cindy says sometimes little boys gotta do things they don’t wanna do so they can get better.
And I’m tryin’.

I really am. 🥺🐾

Miss Cindy says that little slit in my mouth is why my surgery is so important.

I don’t understand all that surgery stuff.

I just know I need it. 💙

Miss Cindy and Mr. Carl never let me fight alone…

and now I found out I got a whole bunch of y’all fightin’ right beside me too. 🥹💙

Y’all have loved me, shared my story, cheered me on and helped this little boy more than you probably even know.

My little village just keeps gettin’ bigger… and I sure am glad y’all are in it. 🐾💙

If you wanna SKIP A SIP FOR ME, SWEET TEA, I sure do love you for helpin’ this little boy. 💙

And if all you can do is share my story…

I love you for that too. 🥹🐾

If you wanna help my little village grow, please share my:

💙 “SWEET TEA — I’VE MADE MY DECISION” 💙

Miss Cindy pinned it right at the top so y’all can find it easy. 🐾💙

That’s the one with Miss Cindy’s Venmo, PayPal and Cash App information on it. 💙

For now, I’ll be back in my inkubater, breathin’ my little oxy-gun, takin’ my medicine and doin’ the only thing this little boy knows to do…

FIGHT. 💙

I’m only 2.8 pounds…

but I got lots of growin’ left to do, lots of kisses left to give, and a whole life waitin’ on this little boy. 🥺💙

I just gotta get to my surgery first.

And till then…

I’M GONNA KEEP FIGHTIN’. 💪💙

Love,
Sweet Tea 🐾

💔 SWEET TEA… I MADE MY DECISION. 💔

A couple of days ago, I left y’all with two choices:

Euthanasia... or surgery.

Before I tell you my decision, there's something important you need to know.

Sweet Tea doesn't have just a cleft lip. He also has a cleft in his soft palate, allowing food and liquids to enter his nasal passages and potentially his lungs, putting him at risk for repeated aspiration pneumonia.

Not every cleft is the same. Some dogs do perfectly well with a cleft lip alone, but Sweet Tea's case is more serious because his soft palate is involved.

He needs surgery with a specialist in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The surgery will cost around $6,000.

We only have a couple of months before he's old enough, and we need the finances in place to get him on the specialist's schedule.

So many of you have said you'd be willing to help. So I'm swallowing my pride and saying...

☕❤️ SKIP A SIP FOR SWEET TEA ❤️☕

Skip one coffee. One bagel. One little treat.

It doesn't take one person giving a lot. It takes a whole lot of people giving a little.

Can't contribute? A share or prayer means just as much.

And now... my decision.

I looked my vet straight in the eye and said:

“Euthanasia is OFF the table.”

I didn't know exactly how I was going to make it happen. I just knew I was going to do everything in my power to give him that chance.

Sweet Tea has fought since his very first breath.

How could I not fight just as hard for him? ❤️🐾
