I will say there are responsible breeders out there.
Don’t count on the AKC website to give you a lists of good breeders as a lot of them won’t take them back if something happens.
This is a wake up call to pet owners.
I have even been given the excuse that my dog doesn’t match my decor. Yes, those type of people are out there.

My point?
Don’t get a dog or a cat, any animal if you can not commit to their whole life. Dogs can live over 15 years, cats can live over 15 years, horses can live into their 30’s, birds even longer.

Enjoy other people’s animals if you can’t commit. Volunteer at a rescue to get your animal fix.
