Meet Nova, aka Harley — the newest dog accepted into RTD Dog Training’s Rescue the Dog program! 🐾

Nova was rescued through Hearts Alive Village, where we first met her. She has since been adopted by an amazing family and is now receiving quality training with BlossomK9 to help secure her place in her furever home.

Her training is fully coordinated and funded by RTD Dog Training. Thanks to leftover donations from previous supporters, Nova’s program is already covered—no fundraiser needed! Stay tuned for progress and updates.

However If you’d like to help us continue supporting more rescue dogs and their families, donations are always appreciated:

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped provide training resources for Buddy!

I’m happy to share that Buddy has successfully completed all five training sessions and is now a much better-behaved young dog. His owners feel confident and have the skills and knowledge to continue training and guiding him.

Buddy went from trying to bite me to becoming one of my BFFs! His owners told me they were at their wits’ end and were considering returning him because he was simply too much to handle. RTD’s mission is to prevent situations like that—and, thanks to your generous donations, we were able to do exactly that for Buddy.

With Buddy’s training complete, we’re moving on to the next dogs who need help. Thank you again for supporting RTD and helping our community make a difference!

Please share our message, follow us, and consider donating to help the next lucky dog. Donations can be made here:

Buddy’s first training session is officially in the books, and this little guy is already making big progress! He’s learning boundaries, working on “leave it,” building duration, and really starting to understand place and kennel time.

Best of all? We’re now almost friends, and Buddy is learning that strangers aren’t so scary after all. Watching that trust start to grow is such a huge win.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors, Buddy and his family are getting the support they need to succeed. Your donations made it possible for Buddy to receive 5 personal training sessions with Watch My Doggo, plus a new martingale collar and leash, two Kongs, and a raised bed to help him learn place and settle.

Because of you, Buddy’s future is getting brighter, his home is becoming more peaceful, and his family has the tools to keep the progress going. We can’t wait to share more of his journey with you!

Today, RTD – Rescue the Dog Training had the pleasure of spending the morning with the wonderful community at Sun City Aliante Senior Center for a special Snack & Learn! 🐾❤️

We talked about one of our favorite subjects — rescue dogs — and how rescue dogs and seniors can truly change each other’s lives.

Our conversation focused on senior-friendly ways to bring companionship, purpose, and joy into everyday life while giving rescue dogs the calm, loving, and caring support they need to thrive. 🐶💕 We had a great discussion about the different ways seniors can get involved with rescue dogs and how meaningful that connection can be for both the person and the pup.

And, of course, you can’t have a Snack & Learn without something delicious! 🍪 RTD provided cookies from local small business Buzzer Be**er Baking, and they were a HUGE hit!

It was such a wonderful morning filled with great conversation, delicious treats, and plenty of talk about our favorite subject — RESCUE DOGS! 🐾

A big thank you to Sun City Aliante Senior Center for welcoming RTD and giving us the opportunity to share our passion for helping rescue dogs and the people whose lives they touch.

Because sometimes, rescuing a dog changes two lives. ❤️🐕🐾

Buddy is a 15‑month‑old little terrier who was rescued from The Animal Foundation. Like many dogs who come from tough starts, he’s developed resource guarding and a few other training challenges. Barry and Shirley adore him — they want nothing more than to give him a safe, stable, loving home. But they’re on a fixed income, and the cost of professional training is simply out of reach.

That’s where our RTD community steps in.
We’re all tired of seeing rescue and shelter dogs returned because families don’t have access to the support they need. Buddy deserves better. Barry and Shirley deserve better. And honestly — this is exactly why RTD Dog Training exists.

We’re asking our community to chip in so Buddy can get the training he needs to live harmoniously with his family. Any donation helps — big or small. And if you can’t donate, sharing our mission helps more than you know.

Together, we keep dogs in homes and out of shelters.

❤️ Ziggy’s Graduation Day

Your donations make a real difference. A request for training came in to RTD Dog Training, and we coordinated with Watch My Doggo to support Ziggy while she was in foster care at Hearts Alive Village.

We met her, saw her spark, and got her started in training. She completed a couple of sessions before her adoptive family found her — and even after adoption, Watch My Doggo honored the training commitment and gifted her two free classes. Her new family covered the rest and showed up ready to work.

Ziggy came in spicy on day one… but today she graduated Basic Obedience with confidence, skills, and a stronger bond with her new parents.

Her family shared that the fact she was already enrolled in training secured her adoption. That’s the power of your generosity — your donations save lives and help dogs stay in their furever homes.

Great job, Ziggy. And thank you to all our donors. You can donate at the link below or continue to follow as we fund raise for specific dogs.

Kayla is doing fantastic.
Her Lowe’s training outing gave us everything we hoped for — calm sits, confident leash walking, obstacle weaving, and real‑world confidence building. Her owner showed up ready to work, and together they’re building the skills that keep Kayla safe, stable, and home.

To the donors who specifically stepped up for Kayla, thank you. And to everyone who donates to support RTD Mission — your contributions directly change dogs’ lives. Kayla’s training was fully funded because of you, and her progress is proof that your generosity matters.

Ziggy rolled into Watch My Doggos Basic Obedience class like, “HELLO EVERYONE I LOVE YOU.”
Big dogs everywhere. New environment. New rules. Zero fear. Maximum wiggle.

Freshly adopted from Hearts Alive Village, sponsored in part by RTD Dog Training, and backed by parents who showed up ready to learn — this girl is out here proving why group class matters. She wants to meet everybody, but today she learned the WMD truth:
Impulse control is a skill, not a suggestion.

Her owners? Crushing it.
Mom came in nervous, left looking like she’s been handling spicy doggos for years.
Ziggy came in chaotic, left focused and proud of herself.

Shoutout to Ziggy for bringing that big personality, big heart, and big “I WANNA MEET THEM” energy.
Keep it up, little superstar — can’t wait to watch you level up over the next couple weeks.

Ruby’s story could have ended very differently.
Rescued from the Pahrump hoarding case, she arrived scared, unsure, and unfamiliar with human touch. Hearts Alive Village stepped in, and a loving foster family gave her safety — but she still needed help learning how to live in a real home.
When Hearts Alive asked if RTD could offer some advice, we said:
Advice is good. But Ruby deserves more.
Because of YOU — our donors, supporters, and community — Ruby is now enrolled in a full 6‑week training program with My Canine Counterpart. This training is fully funded by your generosity, and it’s already changing her life.
Her foster family has fallen in love with her. They’ve decided to adopt her. And with training, she’ll have the confidence and skills she needs to stay in her forever home.
This is why RTD exists.
Not to save every dog — but to make a life‑changing difference for the ones we can reach.
If you want to be part of stories like Ruby’s, becoming a monthly donor helps us say “yes” to more dogs in need. One‑time donations and sharing our mission help just as much. You can donate here:

Thank you for believing in these dogs.
