Session two with Kayla and this girl is on fire.
She’s locking in her place and stay, dialing up that impulse control, and even learning how to have fun while she works. Down‑stays can get boring, so we added a little spice — the early stages of her guard (between‑the‑legs stay) and she is LOVING the challenge.

Huge thank‑you to everyone who contributed to her training. You’re helping keep this sweet girl in her home and on the right path.

Kayla begins her training today, and we’re pushing to reach our $500 fundraising goal to cover her training and help offset the ongoing costs of keeping her safe. Thank you to the two generous donors who have already stepped up — your support truly matters.

RTD is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which means your donations are tax‑deductible. Every dollar goes directly toward preventing dogs from being rehomed, abandoned, or surrendered to shelters. That mission is the reason I started RTD Dog Training, and it’s why we’re asking for help now.

The reality is simple: to keep doing this work, we need community support. Ken is giving Kayla a safe place to stay and investing his time to protect her until she can be rehomed safely or until his situation stabilizes. But training, food, supplies, and operational costs add up quickly.

We can’t continue this life‑saving work without you.

We’re aiming for $500 — and every donation, big or small, brings us closer to giving Kayla the training she needs and keeping RTD running strong.

If you’ve been considering helping, now is the moment. Let’s hit that goal together and show Kayla — and future dogs like her — that they’re worth fighting for.

🐾 Help Keep Kayla Safe & Fund Her Training — $500 Goal
Kayla is a sweet, loving dog who wants to do the right thing — but she needs help.
Her owner, Kenneth, is an Army Veteran doing everything he can to keep his life stable and keep Kayla with him. He works full‑time and drives Uber and DoorDash just to make ends meet. He’s trying. He’s exhausted. And he loves Kayla deeply.

But recently, there was an incident involving Kayla.
Nothing malicious — just a scared dog making a scared‑dog choice.
Now she’s at risk of being surrendered.

Kenneth doesn’t want that.
We don’t want that.
And Kayla definitely doesn’t deserve that.

❤️ Why We’re Raising $500
Kayla needs professional training support right away.
Kenneth is committed to working with her, fostering her, and doing everything he can to help her succeed — even if he ultimately can’t keep her long‑term. He’s not giving up on her.

But he can’t afford the training she needs.

That’s where the dog community steps in.

Your donation will go directly toward:

Kayla’s training sessions and supplies needed

Support for Kenneth as he fosters and trains her

Keeping Kayla safe, stable, and out of the shelter system

Every dollar helps us coordinate a trainer and keep this team together while we work toward a safe, stable future for Kayla.

🐶 Kayla Deserves a Chance — And Kenneth Deserves Support
Kenneth stepped up for his country.
Now he’s stepping up for Kayla.
Let’s step up for both of them.

Your donation — whether it’s $10, $20, or $50 — moves us closer to the $500 needed to get Kayla into training immediately.

👉 Donate now and help keep Kayla safe.
👉 Share this campaign to spread the word.

Together, we can keep this dog out of the shelter system and give her the training she needs to thrive.

Sorry for the delayed post but this is an update everyone will want to here. This situation was an emotional rollercoaster for all involved.

Baby was adopted by her second foster to prevent euthanasia. I truly believe everyone involved had the best intentions and big hearts — but sometimes people end up in situations they aren’t equipped to handle. That’s where we, as a community, have two choices: we can complain and criticize, or we can step up and help. I choose the second option, and I know many of you do too.

Thanks to generous donors like you, we’ve secured training for Baby with a solid trainer in Henderson. She completed her first session of five with Bri at Blossom K9, and it went great. The adopter is already gaining the confidence needed to support an insecure dog and help her feel safe.

This is exactly why I became a dog trainer and why we started RTD Dog Training — Rescue the Dog. Our mission is to save dogs like Baby and break the cycle of abandonment and euthanasia for issues that are completely fixable with the right guidance.

Thank you for your donations and your belief in this work. If you’re able, please continue supporting us through the link below. And if financial support isn’t possible, sharing our posts and spreading the word makes a real impact. Together, we can build this mission and change outcomes for dogs who deserve a chance

🐾 Meet Gaucho, Kevin, Raditz, and Miracle — four adoptable stars from Hearts Alive Village

After wrapping up our Basic Obedience in the Park class with Watch My Doggo Sunshine and I stopped by the Hearts Alive Village Joseph Mayo Rehabilitation ReTreat during their adoption event. We met the staff, spent some time learning about the work they’re doing, and of course we couldn’t resist having a little fun training with a few of the dogs in their care.

These four absolutely made our day.

We ran some light engagement reps, confidence games, and just‑for‑fun training — nothing formal, just giving them a chance to work, think, and shine. And they were READY. Each one brought something different to the floor: focus, heart, silliness, drive, and that spark you only see in dogs who are waiting for someone to notice them.

All four are available for adoption at the Joseph Mayo Rehabilitation ReTreat Facility
📍 3250 N Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89130

RTD Dog Training is committed to helping rescue, shelter, and at‑risk dogs get access to training resources. Your support and donations make it possible for dogs like these to build confidence, learn skills, and get ready for their next chapter.

🐾 Hi, I’m Hippo — comeback queen, durable‑toy destroyer, and proud Watch My Doggo student.

Life didn’t start out easy, but Hearts Alive Village stepped in, got me safe, and helped me learn to walk again. They gave me my second chance, and I ran with it — literally.

Thanks to the amazing donors supporting the RTD Dog Training – Rescue the Dog mission, I’m now in Watch My Doggo’s Basic Obedience Class, leveling up and showing everyone what a determined girl can do.

🎾 Soft toys? Gone in two minutes.
Durable toys? Now we’re having fun.

👑 I’m still deciding how I feel about other dogs, so for now I’m rocking my only‑dog era. More love for me, honestly.

✨ Hippo is available for adoption through Hearts Alive Village at the link below.
Adopters also get transition training sessions and discounts on future classes through Watch My Doggo and RTD Dog Training.

Let’s get this sweet girl into the forever home she fought so hard to reach.

Just wanted to share update on Baby. Baby has been turned over to a new foster / rescue. Sometimes people have great intentions but not the ability to handle all dogs . We still stand with our commitment to help baby if the new foster or rescue organization reaches out.

❤️ Baby Needs a Real Chance

Baby needs a dedicated foster or adopter — someone who understands what an Australian Shepherd is and what they need to thrive.

He was pulled from The Animal Foundation after landing on the short list, and while his current foster meant well, she’s in over her head. I met with both of them today, and Baby is exactly what you’d expect from an under‑stimulated herding breed: sweet, smart, overwhelmed, and trying his best.

RTD will support his training.
What he needs now is a foster or adopter who is equipped, confident, and able to give structure to a dog who genuinely wants to succeed. Someone who can commit to train and bring him to training.

Here’s the truth:
If Baby is returned to the shelter, he likely won’t make it out again. He didn’t do well there the first time, and he’s not a dog who can survive that environment twice.

But with the right foster or adopter?
He’s going to be an incredible dog.

Below are photos and I will add videos on the comments from my evaluation and hands‑on work with him today. If you’ve ever wanted to make a direct, life‑saving impact — this is it.

If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Baby I can put you in contact with his current foster or you can contact The Animal Foundation : https://animalfoundation.com/adoption/A1411350/

He's currently with a foster but not a good fit. Message me with questions.

We all heard JetBlue’s abandonment, rescue, and adoption story. It’s a feel‑good moment — but it’s not the reality for the thousands of dogs sitting in Las Vegas shelters and rescues right now.

So let me reintroduce you to Josie.

Josie is a dog we at RTD Dog Training have proudly sponsored for a full training program with My Canine Counterpart. She has excelled — she’s smart, steady, eager to learn, and ready for a family who will finally see her.

But unlike JetBlue, Josie is still waiting for her furever home.

You can meet or adopt Josie by contacting Hearts Alive Village. And to make her transition even smoother, RTD will provide two complimentary training sessions to whoever steps up for this incredible girl.

If you want a dog who’s already put in the work — who’s ready to love, ready to learn, and ready to thrive — Josie is your girl.

Let’s give her the ending she deserves.
