Bubba’s Bowl is a unique concept in Las Vegas. We deliver small-batch, fresh-never-frozen, healthy and delicious meals anywhere in Clark County. We work with you to come up with a schedule that ensures that your pup gets the freshest food possible.

When you sign up on Bubba’s Bowl, we ask you questions like age, breed, size and activity level. We gather this information for two reasons: to calculate the right amount to feed your pup and to develop a schedule. We always want your dog to have fresh food that tastes great, so we deliver to you twice a week. While our food is good for about 7 days in the fridge, it’s at its best within a few days of cooking (like most foods).

Note that it is OK to freeze Bubba’s Bowl food, but we recommend that you make freezing the exception rather than the rule. Freezing affects the consistency and flavor, and some nutrients degrade over time in the freezer. If you do want to freeze your Bubba’s Bowl food at any point, please contact our Support Team ([email protected]) and we will pack your next order or orders in vacuum-sealed packages rather than our resealable plastic storage tubs. Once frozen, our food is stable for 3-4 months from the date it’s frozen.

Why Farmers Markets Matter in Las Vegas

Las Vegas probably isn’t the first place most people think of when they picture farmers markets. People imagine casinos, neon lights and tourists carrying giant drinks down the Strip - not local produce and small businesses setting up tents at 8am on a Saturday.

But honestly, that’s exactly why farmers markets matter here.

Vegas has grown into a real community over the last couple of decades. More and more people want to know where their food comes from, support local businesses and spend their money with actual people instead of giant corporations. Farmers markets create a place for all of that to happen at once.

One of the biggest benefits is access to fresh produce. Grocery stores are convenient, but produce there can travel hundreds or even thousands of miles before it ends up in your cart. At a farmers market, you’re often buying vegetables that were picked recently and brought directly to the market. That usually means better flavor, better quality and less processing.

For people trying to eat healthier, that matters.

Farmers markets also give people access to smaller growers and specialty products that they may never find in a traditional grocery store. Organic vegetables, locally grown herbs, homemade sauces, fresh baked bread, local honey and small-batch foods all have a place there. It creates variety that chain stores simply can’t replicate.

But honestly, the biggest thing farmers markets do is support small businesses.

Starting a business is hard. Getting noticed is even harder.

A farmers market gives small businesses a chance to get their name out there without needing a massive advertising budget or a retail storefront. Customers get to actually meet the people making the product. They can ask questions, sample food, hear the story behind the business and decide if they want to support it.

That connection matters.

When someone buys from a small vendor at a market, that money usually stays local. It helps families, local entrepreneurs and people trying to build something from scratch. In a city filled with giant corporations and national chains, that local support becomes incredibly important.

Farmers markets also create something Vegas honestly needs more of: community spaces.

People stop and talk. Dogs come out. Families walk around together. Vendors get to know repeat customers by name. It feels personal in a way that most modern shopping experiences don’t anymore.

For businesses like Bubba’s Bowl, markets are invaluable because they let people ask questions face-to-face. Fresh food for dogs is still new to a lot of people. Being able to explain ingredients, sourcing and nutrition directly to customers builds trust in a way that websites and ads never fully can. And the dogs get to taste test our recipes right there! Alternately, we can send you home with a 3 or 6 cup sample to try out.

At the end of the day, farmers markets are more than just places to buy vegetables.

They help small businesses survive. They connect people to their food. They strengthen local communities. And they make Las Vegas feel a little more human.

That’s a pretty good reason to support them.

Bubba’s Bowl is proud to be part of that local community. You’ll regularly find us at and we plan to attend as many dog-focused and pet-friendly markets as possible throughout Las Vegas. For us, these events are about more than selling dog food. They’re an opportunity to meet local dog owners, answer questions, talk about fresh nutrition and become part of the community that supports small businesses here in Vegas. We believe dogs deserve better food, and farmers markets are one of the best places to have those conversations face-to-face.

Spotlight on Kevin, who is staying at ReTreat Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas.
Kevin is a big, lovable goof that has a very shy/fear response when you first meet him. Because of this he is often overlooked. I adore this big guy and would love to help find him his person.

Kevin is a Mastiff mix at 87lbs so he needs a bit of space, or nice long walks to keep him fit. He's a guardian breed so he needs someone who understands that a guardian dog is a loving breed who can get protective.

He's amazing with all dogs - any size - and is especially gentile with puppies.
Cats? He's seen them and is quite confused by them - so unsure how he would react in a long term situation with a cat household.

He is fully obedience trained - Sit, place (go to your place), down, and is amazing on the leash (see video).

He gets overstimulated so festivals aren't a great idea for him as he can get spooked. Otherwise he's a very calm natured boy.

He prefers women, but will warm up to men after a bit of trust is established. When alone he mostly just finds a place to rest and chills out.

Why am I trying to help Kevin? I have a Mastiff mix, Morgan, who was in a terrible situation prior to us adopting her. She was also very afraid of men. She was horribly scared and needed the time and space to understand that she was in a good place.

After about 2 weeks of basically sitting on the couch and running to the outside to do her business, Morgan initiated contact by scratching at our bedroom door. I opened it and climbed back into bed and let Morgan decide what she wanted/needed.

After about 10 minutes of standing stock still, she walked over to the bed, jumped up and cuddled up next to me.

I get a fearful dog. I get how hard and scary it must be for them. I also get big dogs and their silly, sometimes protective, sometimes fraidy-dog nature.

I fell in love with Kevin immediately, because he reminded me of what Morgan was like for the first few weeks of her living with us, and because he's a big handsome brindle baby.

Another successful Breakfast with Bubba was held yesterday at ReTreat (Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas). This month we fed about 25 doggies our Turkey Recipe.

They have so many ready-to-adopt dogs that need love and attention. If you cannot adopt, you could always do a doggie field trip, foster, or help out at one of their locations.

Have I mentioned I love my job?
