Yesterday was World Pet Memorial Day and we’re a day late, but honestly, every day at Perpetual Memories is pet memorial day.

Every pet who comes into our care was someone’s whole world and we don’t take that lightly. We care for every pet as if they were our own. 🐾💙

Last summer, this lovely couple came to us for the first time after their beloved dog Shadow had passed away. We were honored to hold his memorial service, surrounded by his family and his brother, Scooby.

In the months that followed, Shadow’s parents opened their hearts again and rescued a senior pup named Toby. He was given the kind of love that every dog deserves and a soft place to land in his final chapter of life.

Just seven months later, Toby passed away from cancer. His family returned to us and asked if we could hold a memorial for him too, and of course, we said yes.

Some families come into our care once. Others, like this family, trust us to walk alongside them through every painful goodbye. We are truly grateful beyond words to be able to support pur community members during these difficult times.

Rest easy, Toby. You were so loved. 🐾💙
