✨ Another one of my 10-day trips has come to an end. ✨
The route was not easy: Las Vegas → California → California → Utah → Utah → Michigan → Michigan → New Jersey → New Jersey → Pennsylvania → Pennsylvania → Cleveland → Cleveland → California. Thousands of miles, countless hours behind the wheel, and a whole story on the road.
🐾 With me was Trooper — a German Shepherd, a true soldier. He stayed by my side, guarding and watching over everyone. His wisdom and strength brought calm to the entire journey.
When we stopped at small rest areas with poor lighting and almost no people, Trooper never slept through the night — he was guarding me. During the day he would rest, and at big truck stops he slept peacefully, sensing it was safe there.
One night, he suddenly started barking. I looked up and saw a family of coyotes watching us. Trooper stood firm, growled, and with his powerful bark chased them away. He is a true guardian — smart, strong, and protective. I’m grateful I was part of his journey to a new family.
🐾 There was also a little puppy — tender and in need of care. During the trip, he made great progress: he learned to wait and do his business only outside. In the car, he was perfect, waiting for each stop. Trooper was the one teaching him by example.
🐾 The Alaska Klee Kai was a challenging passenger. He kept trying to escape, and we had to keep four eyes on him — mine and Trooper’s. But by the end of the trip, we found common ground. I discovered an amazing dog: very smart, observant, and independent. With him, I gained valuable experience, and this journey taught me a lot.
On the way back, I transported a whole family — 4 cats and 4 dogs.
At first, the plan was to take only the cats. But when I saw the conditions they were living in, I couldn’t leave the others behind — so I took them all.
Unfortunately, their owner could not take them earlier due to very serious circumstances. But as soon as she had the chance, she did everything to bring her family back home. And I delivered them all safely.
On the first day of the trip, they were trembling and terrified. But gradually they realized that I came with kindness and love, that I cared for them and meant no harm.
When this family was finally reunited with their owner, it was pure happiness. The joy and gratitude in her eyes were indescribable, and those emotions touched me too. It is in these moments that I truly understand the importance of my work.
✨ And this is what I want people to know: many think my job is just “turning the wheel” and driving forward. But it’s not. On the road, there are situations beyond my control: thunderstorms, hurricanes, hail the size of tennis balls when you fear the glass will shatter, and you don’t know where to hide. In those moments, I hold my furry passengers close, I comfort them, and together we get through it.
When you pay for transportation, you are not just paying for miles and fuel. You are paying for safety, care, and love — for someone to turn fear into calm and trust. That is the true value of my work.
And you know what’s the most amazing part? 🌙 When at night, after a long drive, a furry one crawls closer, lays his head on my arm, and sighs deeply… with such calmness and satisfaction, as if saying: “Finally, everything is fine. There is someone who will care for me and take me home.”
Those moments cannot be described in words — they can only be felt. And every pet I have transported, and will transport, stays forever in my heart. I remember them all — from the very first to the very last. ❤️
This is my work. Hard, demanding, and full of responsibility — but it brings me incredible fulfillment. And it is for those happy eyes and that trust that I go back on the road again and again. 🐾✨
