🤦🏻‍♀️ We know… we know. Every summer there are a ton of graphics like this making the rounds on social media.

🥵 If you’re already aware of the dangers of hot ground temperatures, that’s fantastic. But every single year we talk to people who had no idea how hot different surfaces can get. That’s exactly why these reminders are worth sharing.

🤯 One of the biggest surprises for people? Artificial turf.

☀️ The number of people we speak with every year whose dogs suffered burned paw pads from artificial turf would shock you. People who don’t have turf in their own yards may not realize just how hot it becomes under the summer sun.

🤔 And here’s something else to think about…

😕 You may not have artificial turf at home, but does your dog’s service provider? If so, are they monitoring surface temperatures and keeping them safe for paws?

🔥 Unfortunately, every summer we hear from heartbroken owners whose dogs were burned on turf that wasn’t even theirs.

💡 Remember, the safest option during the summer is to keep walks for early morning or after the sun has gone down. If your own yard has concrete or artificial turf, creating a shaded area for quick potty breaks and spraying it down before paw contact can make a huge difference in helping prevent paw injuries and heat-related illness.

🥾 While they may not be everyone’s favorite fashion statement, dog boots have a purpose. The cost of a good pair of boots is far less than an emergency veterinary visit—and far easier on your heart than watching your best friend recover from an injury that was completely preventable. If you must take your dog out on a summer day, you can pick up a pair of boots from our good friends Dog Supplies Outlet Las Vegas and they’ll even help you find the right size.

🙏🏼 Please be mindful of the surfaces your dog walks on and if you see educational posts like this, take a second to like and share them. You never know whose paws you might be helping to protect. 🐾

🌵 Not every friendship starts on day one… and that’s okay.

☺️ Salvador has been part of the All Out K9 family for just over two years now, and he’s a wonderful reminder that trust isn’t something you demand—it’s something you earn.

📦 When his mom first moved to the area, one of her biggest concerns was finding someone she could trust to care for Sal when she needed to travel. Sal isn’t the kind of dog who’s instantly comfortable with new people. He takes his time getting to know someone, and if that process is rushed, he can become reactive. He also prefers to keep his distance from other dogs.

🥰 That’s why we didn’t rush anything. We let Salvador set the pace. As he learned to trust us, we were also learning about him—how he communicates, what makes him feel comfortable, and how to set him up for success. Building a relationship like that takes patience from everyone involved, and it’s always worth the effort.

🙌🏼 Fast forward a couple of years, and seeing Sal confidently exploring the Ranch has been incredibly rewarding. Watching him take in the views, investigate every trail, and enjoy an adventure at his own pace is exactly why we believe every dog deserves to be understood as an individual.

👏🏼 We’re so proud of the relationship we’ve built with him and we’re looking forward to many more Ranch adventures together.

🐾 Some dogs leave paw prints on your heart while also leaving a noticeable gap in your weekly routine. 😆

❤️ Hunter has been part of the All Out K9 family for a few years now. After completing his training program, he became one of our regular daycare pups, and we loved seeing his face week after week.

🛻 Then came the move to the Ranch.

😔 Instead of our regular weekly visits, we suddenly went a couple of months without seeing our buddy, and we definitely missed him.

🤠 Thankfully, Hunter recently came out for his very first Ranch stay while his family traveled, and it didn’t take long for him to settle into the slower pace of Ranch life. Whether he was taking in the scenery, enjoying peaceful walks, or quietly supervising our every move, he fit right back in.

❤️ We must have done something right because Hunter officially claimed our last Ranch Camp opening for August! We can’t wait to have him back for another adventure in just a few weeks.

🥰 Some reunions are years in the making… and they feel like no time has passed at all.

🩶 Meet Hank—our favorite little hunky meatball! Hank has been part of the All Out K9 family for quite a few years, and we were so excited when his mom reached out to ask if he could come stay with us while she’s out on tour.

🐾 It had been a few years since Hank’s last visit, so we couldn’t wait to see that big smile and wiggly little butt again.

🤠 The best part? It didn’t take him long to settle right back in with us. A few of our regulars were already here when he arrived, and before we knew it, it was like he’d never been away. Watching dogs reconnect with old friends is one of those moments that never gets old.

💁🏻‍♀️ Hank is with us for an extended stay so he’s getting plenty of time to play, make new memories, and remind us why we fell in love with his goofy personality all those years ago.

🤔 Sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan… and that’s okay!

❤️‍🩹 Koa’s dad had reached out to schedule our obedience training program for Koa when life threw him an unexpected curveball—a surgery that meant he wouldn’t be able to care for Koa during his recovery.

☺️ Instead of waiting for the original training timeframe that had been planned, we picked Koa up early so his dad could focus on healing, knowing his best buddy was in good hands.

⭐️ What was originally planned as a training stay ended up being a little longer than expected because of Dad’s recovery. But honestly… we didn’t mind one bit.

🐾 The extra time has given us the opportunity to continue building on everything Koa had already learned, including one of his dad’s biggest goals—off-leash reliability.

👏🏼 Watching Koa confidently explore while staying connected and making great choices has been incredibly rewarding. He’s put in the work every single day, and we’re so proud of him!

🤗 We know Koa’s dad is excited to have him home soon, and we can’t wait to show him just how far his boy has come. 🙌🏼

👏🏼 One of the best parts about seeing our training dogs come back to visit is getting to watch all of their hard work continue to pay off.

🐶 Enzo first joined the All Out K9 family in the fall of 2024 at just 4½ months old for puppy training. The following spring, he came back to complete our Basic Obedience Training Program, and we’ve been lucky enough to see him ever since whenever his family needs us.

🐾 Every boarding visit gives us the opportunity to maintain the training we’ve already established and build on it whenever possible. That’s one of the biggest advantages of continuing to board with us after completing a training program—your dog’s education doesn’t stop when the program does.

🙌🏼 Because Enzo has put in the work and we started off-leash training with him back in the city, he was ready for something pretty special during his first visit to the Ranch…

🤠 Off-leash adventures.

🥰 There’s nothing quite like watching a dog confidently explore the trails while still choosing to check in, stay connected, and enjoy the adventure with you. To say Enzo had a blast during his morning hikes would be an understatement!

💙 As a bonus, graduates of our Basic Obedience Training Program also receive a discount on future boarding stays. It’s our way of rewarding the commitment families make to their dog’s training while helping those skills stay sharp for years to come.

🥰 Some of the best compliments we can receive are the dogs that keep coming back to visit.

⭐️ Re*****on first joined the All Out K9 family for training before we made the move to the Ranch. We were so grateful his family was referred our way, and from day one, this guy was an absolute joy to work with.

🐾 He made incredible progress throughout his training program, but somewhere along the way, he also stole a couple of hearts. To say we’ve grown fond of Re*****on would be an understatement.

👨‍🎓 Since graduating, he’s already been back to the Ranch a few times for little vacations while his family travels, and every visit feels like picking up right where we left off. He jumps right into Ranch life, is always happy to lend a paw with chores, and never turns down the chance to hit the trails.

🐕 Dogs like Re*****on are one of the reasons we love what we do. Watching our training clients return not because they need us anymore, but because they are taking a vacation while their family does, is incredibly rewarding.

🌵 Some dogs take a little time to warm up to a new place… and some decide it’s the greatest adventure ever. 😄

🌼 Miss Daisy has been part of the All Out K9 family for many years, so when she came to visit the Ranch for the first time while her family was traveling, we weren’t quite sure what she’d think of all the new sights, smells, and trails.

💁🏻‍♀️ As it turns out… we didn’t have anything to worry about.

👏🏼 Daisy wasted no time embracing Ranch life. She happily explored the trails, romped through the desert with the biggest smile on her face, and made it very clear that this was a vacation she could get behind.

☺️ The best part? She’ll be back to visit again soon, and we already know she’s going to pick up right where she left off!
