Food for Thought!!

A new peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of Animal Science found that nearly half of dog owners feed the exact same dog food every day, same brand, same flavor, little to no rotation. Researchers also found that protein source, especially chicken🐓, heavily influences purchasing decisions.

While consistency may help some sensitive dogs short term, long-term dietary monotony can reduce microbiome🦠 diversity and create a less resilient gut ecosystem over time. Different proteins, fibers, and plant compounds feed different beneficial bacteria, so repetitive diets may contribute to dysbiosis, weaker gut resilience, lower postbiotic production, and a greater risk of sensitivities and inflammatory issues.

The takeaway? Convenience and routine may come at the expense of microbiome diversity and long-term gut health.
If you cannot change your food, adding a variety of foods like veggies can also help nourish the microbiome by providing different types of fiber and plant compounds that feed beneficial gut bacteria. Probiotics as well can help support microbial diversity, strengthen the gut barrier, improve digestion, and increase resilience during stress, antibiotics, and dietary changes.

We know you have a busy day of belly rubs and maybe a human brunch planned, so we’re keeping it short and sweet today.

📍 We are OPEN TODAY from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Let’s be honest—our dogs are the heartbeat of the home, so why should they be stuck with a generic, hard-as-a-rock biscuit while the rest of the family feasts on brunch?

At Three Dog Bakery, we believe the “goodest” boys and girls shouldn’t just watch the egg hunt—they should be the stars of it. That’s why our ovens are working overtime to bring you the freshest, healthiest Easter collection in town.

Why it’s a game-changer for your pup:

Straight From the Oven: Forget those shelf-stable bags filled with preservatives. Our treats are baked fresh with real, wholesome ingredients you can actually pronounce.

The “Human-Grade” Aesthetic: These treats look like they came straight from a gourmet patisserie. Perfect for that “Easter Sunday” photo op before they disappear in one happy crunch.

Safe & Celebration-Ready: No chocolate, no fillers, no “mystery” ingredients. Just pure, tail-wagging joy that won’t upset their stomach during the family festivities.

The Reality: We’ve all felt that pang of guilt when our dog gives us those eyes while we’re peeling open a chocolate bunny.
The Fix: Give them their own moment. Whether it’s our carrot-cake-inspired treats or our hand-decorated seasonal cookies, you’re not just giving them a snack—you’re making them part of the memory.

Treat your best friend to something as special as they are. ✨

🚨 BREAKING: We’re launching… BROCCOLI BITES for dogs. 🥦🐶

Yep. You read that right.
Fresh baked. Green. Crunchy.
Your dog’s dream snack. 😐
…or not.

Let’s be real—your dog didn’t sign up for vegetables.
And you didn’t sign up to be judged by those “are you serious right now?” eyes.

That’s why we stick to what actually makes tails wag:

🥜 Peanut butter
🍪 Fresh-baked cookies
🦴 Real, drool-worthy treats made just for them

Because treating your dog shouldn’t feel like a compromise.

It should feel like love, excitement, and full-on zoomies.

So no, we’re not making broccoli treats.
(We like our customers too much.)

👉 Stop by Three Dog Bakery today and grab the treats your dog actually wants.

Is it even Easter if your pup isn’t part of the tradition? 🐰

Let’s be real: We spend hours curationg the perfect brunch and hiding eggs for the kids (or ourselves, no judgment), but when it comes to the dog, we usually just toss them a plain old treat from a plastic bag.

This year, give them the Three Dog Bakery experience. We’re talking fresh-baked, pastry-case-quality Easter treats that look so good, you’ll have to remind yourself they’re for the dog. 🧁

Why Dog Moms are Obsessed:

Fresh-Baked Daily: No “mystery ingredients” or preservatives that have been sitting on a shelf since last Easter. Just wholesome, real food.

The “Core Memory” Factor: There is nothing like the pure, unadulterated joy of watching your pup’s tail go haywire when they realize they’re getting a special “human-style” treat.

Guilt-Free Spoilage: You want to include them in the holiday magic without worrying about tummy aches or unhealthy fillers.

The Problem: Most “festive” dog treats are loaded with sugar and artificial dyes.

The Solution: Hand-crafted, Mom approved ingredients that look like a boutique bakery find but fuel them like a healthy snack.

Stop by the bakery today and grab a seasonal Pup-Cakes or a bag of our Biscuits before they’re gone!
