Every surgery starts long before the first incision. It starts with a veterinary technician who has spent years mastering their skills, anticipating needs, monitoring vitals, and showing up fully prepared for every patient who comes through the door.

Vet techs are the heart of every OR team, and their skill and dedication make a difference every single day. At some VCA specialty hospitals, we take surgical collaboration even further. Some of our teams include Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) — professionals who earned specialized degrees specifically to support surgeons in the OR.

The result? Less time under anesthesia. Better outcomes. And a team that truly works as one. 💙

Because every patient is somebody's pet — and they deserve nothing less than the best.

Planning an Easter celebration? Keep chocolate, lilies, and small toys out of reach. 🍫🐣🐶

Easter Pet-Safety Tips:

- Keep chocolate, candy, and xylitol containing foods out of reach.
- Lilies (especially dangerous to cats) should be kept off counters and out of the home.
- Avoid small decorative items and plastic grass that pets can swallow.
- Secure trash and compost; smells can tempt curious noses.
- Supervise pets around guests and family photos; open doors can lead to escapes.

If you’re unsure whether something is safe for your pet or need urgent advice, call us at 702-646-3777— we’re here to help

If we’re closed, you can easily message anytime through the MyVCA app to reach our 24/7 chart line for questions.
