💔 Forever Foster or Loving Home Needed for Two Senior Sweethearts 💔

These two handsome senior boys have had their world turned upside down. Their beloved dad passed away unexpectedly, leaving them without a home through no fault of their own.

🐾 Atah is 13 years old, believed to be a Golden Retriever mix
🐾 Milo is 11 years old, a beautiful Black Flatcoat Retriever

Despite everything they've been through, these boys are incredibly sweet and friendly. They get along well with other dogs and still have so much love to give.

While they've shared a home for years, they are not considered bonded, so if the best opportunity means they go to separate forever foster or adoptive homes, that's okay. What matters most is that each of them gets the love, comfort and security they deserve for their golden years.

Senior dogs are often overlooked, but they make some of the most grateful and devoted companions. These boys have already lost the person they loved most. They shouldn't have to lose the chance to spend the rest of their lives in a warm, caring home.

June 8th was a great day! Stanley, a beautiful Flat Coat Retriever, came through our doors and quickly became the perfect playmate, companion and forever friend - especially for our 2 year old Lab, Blue. Their favorite song? "Play, play, play!"

A huge thank you to Jo Marie and everyone at GRRSN for your patience, kindness and support throughout the adoption process. Stanley has made such a wonderful difference in our lives and we couldn't imagine our family without him.

Homer's story is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when rescues work together. ❤️🐾

Two is better than one and in Homer’s case it took two rescues coming together.

Homer came to True Love Rescue in late 2025. During what should have been a routine neuter, we were given devastating news he had an aggressive cancer, and we were told he had only about two months to live. We were heartbroken and believed there was nothing more that could be done. Needing to make every day count, Homer became a forever foster and spent his time enjoying road trips, adventures, and all the “yes days” he deserved.

Then everything changed. A conversation with Golden Retriever Rescue Southern Nevada, who had experience with a very similar tumor, gave us hope we never thought he’d have. GRRSN vet Sun City Animal Hospital got him in immediately. It was a very intense surgery, and a few minor complications led to a 2 week medical boarding stay. But Homer is HOME now and thriving.

Because our two rescues came together, Homer finally has a life of his own. We don’t know exactly how much time surgery bought him, but we are happy he is getting his chance.

Homer’s medical care has already totaled $9,670 following surgery. Homer is on a monthly medication which is $1,500.00 a month called Palladia. Both rescues are working together to cover the cost of giving this incredible boy the future he deserves.

Homer is grateful to both rescues for saving him from his two month time limit, and he’s thankful for every person who has donated, shared his journey, and cheered him on. Both rescues will continue to post updates, raise money, work on Homers health as he has stolen the hearts of many people. Thank you for believing in second chances. We wish everyone could meet this amazing boy! ❤️

Homer is looking for his greatest adventure yet... a family to love him for the rest of his journey.

At just 4 years old, Homer has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. After spending his life as a breeding dog, he was rescued and diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to surgery and ongoing treatment, Homer is doing what he loves most - living life to the fullest.

And this boy LOVES an adventure.

Whether it's a walk, a car ride, exploring somewhere new, or simply soaking up time with his people, Homer greets every day with a wagging tail and a heart full of joy. He doesn't let his past define him.

Now he needs a very special Forever Foster home.

Homer is dog selective. He currently lives happily with his three foster sisters and does very well with them, but he isn't a fan of every dog he meets. Slow, thoughtful introductions and the right match are important for his success.

GRRSN will cover all of Homer's veterinary expenses, including his chemotherapy and follow up care for the rest of his life. We're simply looking for someone who will give him what he's waited his whole life to have: love, comfort, adventures and a place to call home.

We don't know how much time Homer has. But together, we can make sure every single day is filled with happiness.
