Guaranteed hours. Gas reimbursements. Chill job. Please read entire post before applying.
Like dogs? A little barking doesn't scare you? Like being outside? Can't stand sitting at a desk or dealing with people all day? Like working independently? Like nights and weekends off? Want to listen to podcasts/music/audio books all day? Then this job is for you. We're offering a fun, easy, and stable job.
We are currently accepting applications for 5 days a week, Mon-Fri and part time (just let me know what days you can work Mon-Friday) This is an established business with lots and lots of clients, and is no different than people hiring for pest control, pool service, house cleaners, ect.
Duties would include driving your own car to customer's homes and clean the dog p**p from the backyard, then repeat 25-32 times. Very chill job as long as you follow directions, are dependable/responsible and you get the task done.
To be considered for the job, please include:
A resume
Short explanation of why you would be a good fit for the company
The year, make and model of your car (why? because we want to know what you'll be driving to clients' houses)
We will only consider applicants who fulfill these requirements as it shows us you are able to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS- one of the most important factors in the job. If you have any questions you need answered prior to submitting your resume, please ask.
Job Description:
Pick up dog p**p from backyards
Work days will be Monday through Friday
Start time between 7:00-7:30 a.m. and work till the day's route is completed. (usually 6-8 hours)
MUST HAVE a cell phone with GPS and texting capabilities
MUST HAVE your own car with your own insurance/coverage on it.
Vehicle- you will be hauling p**p filled buckets and stinky equipment. A truck is nice but not mandatory. I've used a little fuel efficient hatchback I installed a hitch on (like $165 online at most U-Haul locations and easily found online), something you could do, and I'll provide the cargo carrier to carry equipment on. If this sounds confusing, look up "cargo carrier" on google and you'll know what I'm talking about. I'm open to what you drive, just the hitch would be your responsibility as that will not be provided as it is custom to only your make and model.
Must be willing to do a lot of driving, don't have exact mileage but you'll be stopping at between 26-32 yards a day, all in the relatively same geographical area. So can safely say 25-60 miles a day, best guess.
be physically capable of hopping 5-6 ft walls, and chasing or running from dogs (this is an unlikely scenario, I've never had to hop a fence for safety but I'd be prepared and willing to, so for your safety, you must be physically capable)
DETAIL ORIENTED - must be able to pick up all the poo in the yard, remember to shut the gate behind you, let us know of any issues, simple but oh so important, etc
We need someone RELIABLE, honest, able to manage their time efficiently, and able to present themselves professionally.
Payment:
Paid training is $10/hr for a few work days till you're competent in what you're doing. You'll ride along with a managing member while you learn the job.
Pay jumps to $15/hour once you're on your own. We're happy to give raises, of course, as long as you're not getting complaints, showing up, and deserving after 3 months.
Potential commissions available
(For full time employees) We offer health insurance plans where we'll pay 1/2 your monthly insurance premium after 3 months of employment
We also will pay 50% of any car repairs you need done after a month of employment.
We offer some gas reimbursement
We are very proud of this company we built and we want our awesome crew to reflect that.
