Hearts Alive Village is a 501c3 nonprofit which operates 2 low cost vet clinics, a Cat Cafe, foster/adoption programs, veteran support services, a veterinary forensics program and much more. Mission: To nurture a compassionate society where pets are supported in their homes and on their journey to find a home

Hearts Alive Village is centrally located in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada, and was founded in 2013 because of an intense need to help save dogs and cats that were losing their lives in an overcrowded shelter system. We learned early that our priority for building resources should target preventing animals from entering the shelter in the first place. We offer several supportive services to families such as a pet food and supplies bank, rehoming for pet owners who have passed away or are unable to continue to care for their pets, training resources, temporary boarding for those experiencing a housing crisis or hospital stay, and low cost spay/neuter. Our most recent resource is an affordable veterinary clinic for families struggling to access care with payment options that fit their budgets for those who cannot qualify for conventional credit.

The Addams Family called. They said Morticia needs a forever family. Looking for love that’s a little spooky, a little mysterious, and absolutely drop-dead gorgeous? Meet Morticia our longest-term resident cat at our EAC.

This spooky season, we’re hoping to change that. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, she’s a total sweetheart who loves attention. She may even be open to sharing her haunted castle with other cats after a proper, slow introduction!

😍 Meet Bit o' Honey our sweet 7 month old puppy looking for his forever home! 😍

Bit o' Honey was adopted from us as a small puppy and sadly several months later his adopter no longer had time for him. He is a small pup around 30lbs. He loves to play with toys and go on walkies! He does great with other dogs and even lived with cats (video in comments!). He is not doing well in a kennel-environment and would really like to find his happily ever after! As with all young puppies, he would benefit from a home that can give him ample exercise, training, socialization, and love to be his best self!

🚨HELP! Can we get a loving forever home for senior Rhino? He is VERY kennel stressed🚨

Rhino is a very sweet senior buddy. We were told he is 9, but he definitely seems a little younger. He was sadly surrendered to us when his owner went to an assisted living facility. Rhino is VERY kennel stressed and drooling excessively. We really want to find placement for him immediately. He gets along great with other dogs! He's also met some children and did great. He loves to play, but tires out quickly and turns into a couch potato. Rhino has some skin allergies that are being treated, but he doesn't let them get him down. He's a cuddle bug and LOVES to play with balls (or anything ball shaped - like our office pumpkins that he ran off with!) We love this buddy so much and want to see him get into a home ASAP. Please help us share!

Meet the hearts behind Hearts Alive Village! ❤️

Behind every happy adoption, wagging tail, and second chance is a team of people who care deeply about making a difference. We want you to get to know some of the amazing humans who make HAV what it is!

🐱Stefanie one of our Animal Care Adoption Counselors been part of the HAV family for about 3.5 years! At our Cat Cafe, she helps care for our feline friends by feeding them, administering medications, providing enrichment, and helping them find their forever homes. Before joining HAV, Stefanie was a dolphin trainer! 🐬 And in a full-circle moment, she adopted a senior cat named Oakley from our very own Cat Cafe last year. 😺

🐾Jess has been with HAV for a year and a half, another one of our amazing Animal Care Adoption Counselors, helping both our dogs and cats find their forever homes! From supporting the adoption process to helping animals find their perfect match, she’s part of the team working to make those happy endings happen. From giving enrichment to medicating she's there every step of the way! Her fun fact? She’s allergic to BOTH cats and dogs, yet spends every day working with them. Now that’s dedication!

Some dogs are perfectly happy sharing the spotlight. These two? They’ve decided they’d rather have the whole stage!

This is Red King. He can be a little reserved when you first meet him, but once he gets comfortable, his sweet personality really starts to shine. He’s a total toy enthusiast, has a growing fan club among our volunteers. Red King recently had one of his eyes removed and is already feeling better and getting back to being his happy, playful self. He’s ready to find his forever person and a home where he can soak up plenty of love and attention.

And this is Marble. Marble has never met a stranger, and honestly, we’re not sure he knows the concept. 😂 He loves everyone he meets, is ridiculously goofy, and is VERY food motivated. If there’s a snack involved, Marble is suddenly paying very close attention. He does have some skin allergies, but he does wonderfully on a seafood diet, so he’s already got his preferred menu figured out. He’s ready to find a forever family who appreciates a goofy guy with a serious appreciation for snacks.

Both boys are looking for homes where they can be the only dog. They’ve got the main-character energy covered.

😭 Mello has been with us for 115 days waiting for a forever home. Could that be with you? 😭

Mello is a 4 year old bulldog mix. He has a wonderful goofy, silly personality. Mello does prefer to be the only doggy and can get too overstimulated with children. This buddy has gotten very sad in his kennel and we really want to get him into a forever home.

Our sweet girl recently donated blood at our clinic to help another pet in need, and of course, she was an absolute angel about it. We think she deserves an official certificate for being both an incredible girl and a lifesaver. ❤️

Angel was originally pulled because she was so friendly and was selected to participate in our hybrid foster study. Since then, she has continued to show us just how special she is. She’s incredibly sweet, loves people, and has quickly become a volunteer favorite. She’s the kind of dog who makes everyone she meets fall a little bit in love with her.

A big shoutout to our clinic team! They are some of the most caring, compassionate people, and the love they have for the animals in their care is so obvious. They’re there for our dogs through routine care, unexpected medical needs, surgeries, medications, and all the little things in between, always making sure our animals get the care they deserve.

Angel has officially donated blood, completed a foster study, earned volunteer-favorite status, and apparently still has room on her resume for one more title: someone’s forever dog. ❤️🐾
