šŸŽ¶ Biggie Biggie Biggie, can’t you see…

This handsome senior gent is hypnotizing. Everywhere Biggy goes, everyone he meets falls in love. He’s just that kind of guy.

He’s a potty dog, meaning he does his business outside his kennel, walks well on a leash, and loves people. Somehow this loving, mellow, happy-go-lucky pup hasn’t had a break from the shelter since he arrived at the beginning of July—37 days ago!

Meet him at The Animal Foundation today. Biggy’s available for foster placement or adoption.

Skye may have just arrived at the shelter, but she's already become a staff favorite thanks to one very important possession: her emotional support water bowl. 🄹

This sweet 6-year-old carries her giant metal bowl everywhere she goes, and honestly? We respect it.

Her previous family says she's friendly with children, strangers, and other dogs, and she already knows basic commands. She's adjusting to shelter life the best way she knows how: with her trusty bowl close by.

Now all Skye needs is a family to love her... and maybe a place to keep her favorite bowl. Skye's ID is A1432811. ā¤ļø

Leslie was terrified when she first arrived at the shelter. She was wary of new people, afraid of doorways, and stayed curled up in the corner of her kennel.

After just a few days spending time in an office with one of our team members, she started to show her true colors and let down her guard. Suddenly, Leslie wasn't afraid of the door and sought attention from team members. Her kennel routine improved, and she even started greeting her office foster mom at the door of her kennel when it was time for walks and staff meetings.

Now everyone at the shelter knows Leslie, her adorable ears and unique underbite. She's still a little shy, but with each passing day we see a little more of the sweet, silly, loving, and playful 1-year-old puppy that's hiding behind those soft brown eyes.

Leslie is available for foster placement or adoption. Meet her today; just be sure to give her a few minutes to greet you and feel safe. Once she does, she'll never want to leave your side.

🚨 Bean needs a hero!

We’ve known 2-year-old Bean since he was just a puppy. He was adopted two years ago and is now back in our care after arriving as a stray in July.

He’s a silly, happy-go-lucky boy who loves adventure and lives life at full speed.

That’s not a good fit for a dog who’s been cooped up in a kennel for over a month. Bean is quickly deteriorating in his kennel and desperately needs a break from the shelter.

When our team goes to leash him up for a walk, Bean is energetic, jumpy, and rearing to go. After just a few minutes in the play yards with time to sniff and go potty, he turns into a completely different dog. Friendly, silly, affectionate, and playful.

69 lb Bean loves getting love from people, leaning into you for butt scratches and attention.

Our training team has been working with him, and we can tell he’s a very smart boy but frustrated by his environment. He knows sit and is working on perfecting a bunch of other skills. He loves easy cheese and chasing the spray from a hose.

Bean needs a break from the shelter with a long-term foster or an adopter. Due to the severity of his kennel stress and anxiety, he needs to get out of the shelter by Friday, August 7th at 3 pm.

UPDATE 8/7: Bean's commitment date has been extended to Sunday, Aug 9 at 3 pm. Meet him today!

He’s a poster child for the Rule of 3s. Give this sweet boy time to decompress and get used to his surroundings. Give him space and grace to feel safe and comfortable.

Once you do, you’ll have a friend for life.

Meet Bean today at The Animal Foundation. His adoption fee is waived.

Parachute is so well-behaved; he gets special access at restaurants! šŸ˜‰

He was the most popular boy on all of Mt. Charleston during a recent foster field trip.

Parachute is a wonderfully behaved dog. In the car. On a leash. In the park. It doesn’t matter to this mellow 7-year-old.

Parachute is that perfect mix of adventurous, mellow, and loving. When he wasn’t making friends at local restaurants, he was giving out kisses and rolling in the grass.

Parachute and all of our adult dogs (6+ months) have their adoption fees waived this month during , thanks to Hill’s Pet Nutrition.

Head to The Animal Foundation to meet Parachute and all of our adoptable pets today! ID # A1421746

šŸ“¢ We’re running low on treats! Can you help?

Over the weekend, we crossed into critical capacity for dogs for the first time this year. Today, we’re dangerously close to ā€œthe redā€ again.

This means we’re going through A LOT of dog treats. Between in-kennel enrichment, walks with volunteers, and training sessions, it’s non-stop.

It might seem like a small thing, but it’s so important. Your donation of a bag of treats can make all the difference for the 449 lost and homeless dogs in our care today.

Items purchased off our Amazon Wishlist are delivered straight to the shelter: https://amzn.to/4bO9zwX. You can also drop off treats in our adoption lobby.

Thanks for helping us keep our shelter pups happy and healthy while they wait for their new home!

How could you say no to a smile like that? Meet Benny.

At 6 years old, this handsome fella doesn’t ask for much. A comfy bed. A belly rub. A piece of jerky.

This silly, wiggly boy is a joy. He’ll look up at you with a big, beaming smile, eagerly awaiting his next adventure. His fosters have described him as a ā€œgentle giant,ā€ ā€œprotective,ā€ and ā€œcalm.ā€

Give Benny a belly rub, and you just became best friends. See what we mean at The Animal Foundation!

Foster or adopt Benny today! You won’t regret bringing this 70 lb love muffin into your life.
