We don’t know about you, but this heat is just crazy! Until we can get back to somewhere comfortable, we won’t be holding any adoption events. We always put our animals safety first and they like being in their nice air conditioned foster homes. If you are interested in meeting any of our babies that are waiting for a forever home, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and we will gladly schedule a meet & greet with you. Take a peek on the website to see who we have. They really deserve to find their forever homes…

We just can’t seem to “fetch” a break with the weather! Due to the extreme heat we are experiencing, we will not be be holding adoptions tomorrow. Please remember that if you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please message us and we will be happy to set up a one on one meet and greet. As we approach the upcoming holiday weekend, we will not be holding any adoption events this weekend or next. Out of respect for our animals, we never have held adoptions around the 4th of July. There is always a risk of placing a dog in new surroundings and then having them frightened by the scary noise from the fireworks. We are still available to answer questions on our available dogs but we want to keep them safe until after everything calms down again.

We encourage everyone to be prepared with their own pets, because this is the time of year when pets go missing due to being frightened. Collars with ID and microchips are a good way of doing that and don’t forget you can register your dogs through Love Lost.

The dogs decided it was just way too hot to step outside and head up to adoptions on Saturday morning. If you are interested in meeting one of them, please reach out to us and we’ll be happy to arrange a meet and greet in your home.

Too hot for the pups = no adoptions this Saturday. 🐾☀️

For the safety of our dogs, we will not be holding adoptions this Saturday. The heat is just too much, and their wellbeing comes first — always.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and keep those paws off the hot pavement. We’ll post updates for our next adoption event soon!

☀️🐾 Sunday Adoption Event! 🐾☀️

Looking for your new best friend this weekend?

Join us Sunday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Petco for adoptions!

We’ll be set up outside weather permitting, but if you don’t see us when you arrive, head on inside — we’re likely keeping the pups cool and comfortable indoors.

Our rescue is still packed with amazing dogs looking for homes, and every adoption opens a space for another dog in need.

☀️ GAS PRICES TOO HIGH? Stay local this weekend and save a life instead. 🐾

School’s out for summer and these puppies are officially accepting applications for “Best Summer Sidekick.” 😎

Come meet adoptable dogs and puppies this Saturday at Petco on Sahara from 9 AM – 11 AM ONLY due to the heat. We’ll be wrapping up early to keep everyone safe and cool.

A puppy won’t just keep the kids busy this summer… they’ll teach responsibility, routine, patience, compassion, and unconditional love (plus maybe a little backyard zoomie cardio 😂).

Instead of spending money at the pump, spend your weekend making memories and changing a life forever.

🐶 Puppy cuddles

Due to the heat, there will be no adoptions this Saturday. The safety and well-being of the dogs always comes first, and temperatures are expected to be too high for a safe event. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support. Please view our adoptable pups online at https://www.tlbfoundation.org/adopt while we take a short break from events. 🐾☀️

🚨 PSA FOR PET OWNERS 🚨

With weekly fireworks coming to the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown this summer, we want to remind everyone that this time of year can be incredibly stressful and dangerous for pets.

Even if you’re nowhere near the Strip, fireworks tend to trigger neighborhood copycats and “backyard shows,” which means frightened pets all across the valley. Every year shelters and rescues see a spike in lost dogs after fireworks.

A few important reminders:

🐾 Make sure your pets are wearing current ID tags
🐾 Double check that microchip information is updated
🐾 Keep pets indoors during fireworks whenever possible
🐾 Close windows, blinds, and curtains to help reduce noise and flashes
🐾 Consider calming music, white noise, or a safe quiet space
🐾 Never bring pets to fireworks events
🐾 Walk dogs early before the noise starts

Please remember: a scared dog can panic and escape even from secure yards, harnesses, or doors opened for just a second.

If your pet struggles with severe anxiety during fireworks, now is the time to talk with your veterinarian about options before the summer events ramp up.

Let’s help keep pets safe, calm, and at home where they belong this summer. ❤️🐶🐱

For the kickoff of the city’s ‘Pack for Vegas’ summer marketing campaign, the LVCVA announced that fireworks displays are planned every Saturday night in June and July.
