‼️THE DANGERS OF CHICKEN JERKY‼️

A good friend of mine recently had a terrible experience happen with her dog. I am so heartbroken by her situation that I feel lead to spread awareness.

She gave her dog a piece of chicken jerky as a treat. Her dog normally does fine with jerky, but this time he decided to swallow it whole instead of chewing. The jerkey severely damaged the dogs throat resulting in a trip to the vet.

Yes, we have chicken jerky as one of our products. Since the incident my friend had we are working on how to make our jerkey more safe. (Likely much thinner pieces and a softer texture.)

Please do not give your dog jerky, or any hard food, if you know they will swallow it whole. If you are unsure how they will react you can break off a small piece and give it to them as a tester.

‼️TOXIN ALERT‼️

Sago palms are HIGHLY toxic to dogs. We have lived with these in our backyard for years and have had no issues. We didn't even know they were toxic!

Yesterday my husband and I decided to do a little landscaping. This involved ripping out one of our sago palm trees. My very curious and food motivated pup, Tootsie decided she would go over for a nibble of the roots when we weren't looking.

A couple hours later she was vomiting uncontrollably. She spent the night at the vet and will likely have to spend a second night. She is fighting liver failure.

Please be cautious with this toxic plant and your fur babies!
