SHARES NEEDED 🥹: Chocolate is so excited to find his forever home but we need your help to get the word out. He is a very special boy who needs a very special home that is willing and able to accomodate him. While he is healthy, fully recovered from his surgery, and is expected to lead a happy, normal life, he will need to be on a very specific diet that costs approximately $10/day. We understand this is a lot to ask, but trust us – he is SO WORTH IT!

At just 2 years old, Chocolate is extremely lucky to even be alive and has been through more than most cats endure in a lifetime:

*Abandonment
*Living in the streets, all alone, and in chronic pain
*4 urinary blockages requiring emergency procedures this year alone
*PU surgery (removed his p***s and reconstruction of this area so he can p*e normally and pain-free)

🐈‍⬛Because of all he’s been through, Chocolate is a mix of tough “Tom Cat” (he had no other choice until now) and total Teddy Bear. We truly believe with time, love, and stability he will one day become 100% Teddy Bear.

This gorgeous boy is quite the character:

*Loves to play, followed immediately by a nice, long nap...with snoring 😴

*Holds a PhD in physics-defying sleeping positions 🤓

*Enjoys 5hr reading/snuggle sessions (he will go belly up for these) 📚

*Exceptional office management skills (you'll never be off task again...assuming that task is doting on HIM ) 💻

*Still learning to use stairs properly (especially with the zoomies) 🤪

Meet Chocolate: Making his long-awaited adoption debut after overcoming more drama than most Oscar-winning films, this heartthrob is looking forward to his happy ending!

After an incredibly difficult start in life, Chocolate is finally ready for his starring role: Beloved house cat, professional cuddler, and full-time emotional support shadow.

Abandoned at a young age and likely suffering from painful urinary blockages for most of his short life, Chocolate’s story could have ended very differently. In fact, if it weren’t for the quick action of Desert Whiskers Rescue, he wouldn’t be here today preparing to live his best life.

This year alone, our resilient leading man fought his way through 4 blockage procedures and major PU surgery (p***s removal and urinary reconstruction) like the absolute stud he is. Today, he’s healed, thriving, p*eing on his own like a superstar, and ready to steal hearts everywhere he goes.

And trust us… he WILL steal your heart, even if he is planning world domination while you sleep.

🏥SPECIAL CARE REQUIREMENTS

Every celebrity has a rider, and Chocolate is no exception. To stay healthy and ensure a normal, comfortable life he needs:

Filtered or distilled water (keep those toilet lids down!)

Prescription urinary wet food diet for life – He cannot have access to any other pet or human food. This is CRITICAL and unfortunately will run about $10-11/day based on his current consumption.

Indoor-only due to diet restrictions

He is still recovering from an allergic reaction to a medication (dermatitis on his ears) and a soft tissue injury in one of his hind legs due to zoomies on the stairs. Both should resolve on their own with time and are under veterinary care but will need to be monitored after adoption.

He feeds off your energy and will do best in a calm environment where he has access to lots of snuggles, attention, and love.

Full bloodwork from March 2026 is available and he is healthy.

Please consider Kea...

🐾💖 Kea is back... and ready to meet her soulmate. Seriously. 🐾💖

Back in March, sweet senior Kea was adopted... but recently, she was returned.

Before anyone jumps to conclusions, this was not because anyone failed her or because Kea did anything wrong. Quite the opposite, actually. Her adopter was simply a first-time cat owner who realized she had taken on a bit more than she was prepared for, especially with a senior cat who has ongoing medical needs.

And honestly? That’s okay. Sometimes life happens, and what matters most is doing what’s best for the cat. 🫶

So Kea got herself a little vacation… and now she’s back, ready to find her true forever person.

Here’s the thing about Kea: we’re not going to sugarcoat it.

She’s a senior.
She’s declawed.
She needs daily medication for hyperthyroidism.
She can be sensitive to stress and needs patience, understanding, and routine.

But you know what else she is?

❤️‍🩹Little Miss Stevie's making BIG progress. Two weeks ago she was pregnant, in severe pain and distress, and fighting for her life.

Today, she is off the streets FOREVER, free from pain, able to see again, playing, and, best of all, HAPPY.

Even better days ahead, sweetheart. 🥰 We love you.

🚨 We’re posting Bubby AGAIN. And AGAIN. And we’ll keep posting him until someone finally says, “That’s my cat.” 💛🐾

Because honestly? We cannot understand how this boy is still waiting.

Bubby is now about 8 months old and he is, without exaggeration, one of the MOST fabulous kittens we’ve ever met. The total package. Sweet. Social. Hilarious. Affectionate. Handsome. The kind of cat who makes every single person fall in love within seconds.

And yet… he’s still here. 💔

The only reason? Bubby is FeLV+.

Since we’re a free-roaming adoption center, Bubby can’t safely mingle with the other cats unless they are also FeLV+, which means this incredible kitten spends far too much time in a kennel when what he REALLY wants is this:

✨ Your lap
✨ Your attention
✨ Your companionship
✨ Your entire schedule, honestly 😂

This boy LOVES people. He wants to be involved in everything. He talks to you. Follows you around. Climbs into your lap like he’s known you forever. He is beyond affectionate and ridiculously charming.

And the saddest part? We know kennel life is getting harder for him.
