“A BIG thank you to the lovely vet in New Zealand who helped me with CoCo at 3:30am EST! My beloved pet had become extremely ill and I was beginning to think she wouldn’t make it.
The vet was patient and thorough. I forwarded the vet’s notes to my vet the next day and they concurred.

After following the vet’s direction, CoCo began to improve little by little. The vomiting and diarrhea decreased in frequency and severity until CoCo’s last event was Sunday morning. As of Tuesday, there is a bounce to her step, her voice and appetite have returned, and she seems fully back to her old self. :-)

I especially appreciate the recommendation to feed CoCo baby food because she fought fiercely against eating anything, but by slipping the baby food with Fortiflora under her gums, she would lick it away and swallow.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Gary Kruger, Dr. Shadi Ireifej, DVM, DACVS-SA!!! He took time to listen and look at my girl Gia. I was worried, and I wasn’t sure if I should be going to the vet or not. I added pumpkin and extra veggies to her meals, and I also cut back a little on her dog food. She was cleared out on Saturday, and by Sunday she had a normal bowel movement. So grateful to have this service and be able to interact with a professional on a moment’s notice!!

Naysayers of veterinary telehealth, listen up! And yes that includes the and other veterinary professional organizations who have a firm, ill-informed stance on veterinary teleheatlh, thereby stunting progression in the field and perpetuating work-life imbalance, poor access to veterinary care and poor spectrum of veterinary care. Here is a small glimpse on how we can actually perform a video examination on a pet during a synchronous video teletriage/teleadvice session on VetTriage. Take notes, & try to learn something. Yuri is a 1.5yr old male Tonkinese cat who presented to VetTriage for halitosis and inappetance. The differentials may include dental disease versus many possibilities for general gastrointestinal diseases. Stress-related conditions were not ruled out due to a recent moving into a new area months prior. Deemed not an emergency, palliative care and monitoring advice were successfully given. Here he is now looking handsome as ever!

Dolly is a spayed female American Bulldog who suffered from what we believe as an acute allergic reaction. The client updated us within a day after the VetTriage session with before and after pictures! Can you guess which is which?

Gracie is a 10 year old female/spayed mix breed dog who presented for suspicious sypmtoms of a gastric ulcer and was deemed a medical emergency. This is why partnership with local ER veterinary hospitals is vital to access to care. Way to go VetTriage!
