Here at DoubleDown Retrievers, we breed, raise, train and compete (in both conformation and performance venues) with our Golden Retrievers. We do extensive health and genetic testing as well as personality testing to ensure we are only breeding for the betterment of the breeds. Most of our dogs have a long pedigree of accomplished, health and genetic tested ancestors, and a great mind and "off switch" that make wonderful companions who also excel as Therapy and Service dogs.

These babies are from our Louise and our trainer’s boy Flint. She was having so much fun with them she forgot the part of finding them homes by 8 weeks old. ♥️ All puppies are still available to loving pet homes. This will be our very last litter from Louise.

Fully health tested puppies - I lead with that because I’m disheartened looking at how many litters are on here with little to no health/genetic testing, or worse yet, have it listed as done but it’s not actually on OFA, so likely wasn’t actually done! Both parents have OFA Hip, Elbow, Cardiologist Heart, & current year Eye clearances. Because of the genetic testing completed, puppies cannot be affected by PRCD, PRA GR1, PRA GR2, NCL, DM, Ichthyosis 1 nor 2. Copies of health & genetic testing are on OFA.org and available upon request.

Both parents are mid energy and come from impressive show and performance lines alike and are really enjoyable to both train and live with. They have a ton of retrieving drive and love water. Both live to play with their kids and have excellent “off switches.” These puppies should be smart, highly trainable and retrieving oriented but not excessively energetic.

Can we please have a moment of silence for our dear sweet Kami. We are devastated 💔 by the loss of her beautiful soul. Kami left us and crossed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. For the last 10 years we have been blessed to know, love, and snuggle with Kami. She was the best at knowing when one of us needed extra love. She was always ready to jump in the car for a road trip or sit in front of the tv and veg out with snacks. She was the goodest girl ❤️ Thank you sweet doggo for giving us unconditional love and companionship. We will not forget you and you will forever be missed.
