25 years ago i was walking into Station 12. I had almost completed my rookie year at CCFD. Everyone was in the day room as well as a few ambulance crews watching the TV. I had no idea what had happened at that point. They told me to look at the TV but I wasnt h going to fall for that. Its customary for a rookie to not watch TV. Once they convinced me I looked to the TV to see the first tower collapsing. Later that day a fellow firefighter and myself were standing out front of the station looking into the sky to see no airplanes. Thats pretty rare for Las Vegas. I remember wondering if I had made the right career choice as I had 2 young sons at home. And here we are 25 years later. My youngest son is in his rookie year at my department an retirement is in my near future. #911
