Looking for some alone time from your pets needing attention? We Care Pet Services offers dog park fun for 1 to 2 hours. We will pick your fur baby up, take to the dog park for 2 hours of outside stimulation, then bring them back exhausted and most importantly happy.

The Golden Doodle is a popular designer dog created by cross breeding a Golden Retriever and Poodle, first done in the 1969 by Charles Dickens daughter Monica, then became a popular home breed in The United States and Australia in the 1990’s. The Golden Doodle unfortunately are not recognized as a breed by any major kennel club.

Some of the key traits of this breed are:
Friendly, affectionate and social
Intelligence
Easy to train
Energetic
Needs regular exercise and mental stimulation
Often good with children, cats, dogs and families
Need regular grooming

Golden Doodles come in different sizes, they are Mini ( 15-35lbs ), Medium ( 35-50lb ) and Standard ( 50-90lb ). The lifespan is around 12-16 years for the Mini, 12-15 years for the Medium and 10-13 years for the Standard Golden Doodle.

They thrive on companionship, they love being around children, adults, dogs and even cats. They do suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for very long.

Golden Doodles are incredibly social dogs, and will bond deeply with the family members that provide their forever home.
Both parents of the Golden Doodle are working dogs, and this can create a dog that is full of energy.

Some of the things owners have found out that are downsides to having a Golden Doodle as a pet are:
High maintenance coats
Need regular professional grooming
Unpredictable in size and temperaments

You must do daily brushes of the coat, and when going for professional grooming, the costs are close to $100-200.00 each visit to the groomer.

They can become destructive, vocal, or anxious if you work long hours and leave them home alone for more than 2-4 hours at a time. When left alone they become fidgety, and they start counter surfing, looking for things to eat or tear up.

They are also prone to the following diseases:
Hypertension
Heart disease
Kidney disease
Liver failure
Cancer which is the leading cause of death

They also can have joint issues ( hip and elbow ) and ear infections, that is why when given baths, jump in a pool or in the rain it’s important to dry the ears immediately, the floppy ears tend to trap the moisture.
