A big thank you to all that came to our 2024 Client Seminar on January 24th!

HUGE thank you to Boehringer Ingelheim who sponsored the event. Their representative, Dustin Stapleton, went above and beyond to make the event a success. He arranged catering through Broken Bones BBQ, got personalized cookies made up, provided the Yeti door prize, and covered the venue charge along with helping with the set up and break down.

Drs. Andersen and Gieche presented on up to date and relevant information for horse owners.

Thank you to our staff members Shaela and Crystal for providing assistance throughout the evening as well.

We look forward to hosting our next event.

Unsurprisingly (due to all the moisture this year), there are already West Nile cases in horses in Colorado. According to EDCC, positive cases in Bent, Fremont, El Paso, AND Elbert Counties today.

We cannot emphasize the importance of vaccinating enough--horses who are not vaccinated or are overdue for West Nile Virus have a higher risk for severe disease and even death. Follow thime linked page to get alerts and also to learn more about this, and other preventable diseases.

It is not too late to vaccinate-please call today!

Our goal is to keep our equine patients healthy and with their owners as long as possible.

West Nile virus (WNV) is a mosquito-borne flavivirus. WNV primarily causes disease in birds, humans, and horses and is transmitted by many different species of mosquitoes. Since 1999, more than 27,600 U.S. horses have been confirmed with WNV neuro-invasive disease with an estimated average case fata...

Please check out the updated services section on our website www.rockymountainequine.com

The new service we've added in the last year is gastroscopy (stomach scoping)!

While our other services listed are not new, we have uploaded more detailed information. The goal is to help current and new clients and horse owners understand our recommendations and have a better idea of what a certain exam/procedure will consist of.

We will be adding pictures of the procedures/exams, and would be so grateful if you could authorize use of your horse being on the website if the situation leads to the perfect snapshot!
