Rebecca joined our team this year as an animal care attendant. After years at working at doggy daycares she is excited to get into exotics and learn all about caring for unique species and birds! Her goal and priority is to make sure every patient feels safe and is well cared for while at Avian and Animal Hospital. At my home Rebecca has two cats named Sunny and Milo. Outside of work she loves to travel, go snorkeling and explore in the waters. Her second favorite thing to do is eat!! She loves sushi.

Olivia joined our team in 2026 as an animal care attendant and client care specialist!
Olivia attended a technical high school that allowed her to graduate as a certified assistant and is currently a full time student at SPC.
Olivia has been involved with vet med since she was 15! She loves all animals but especially loves seeing exotics and wildlife that come in. Olivia has a dachshund name Oaklyn and a leopard gecko named coconut. Outside of the clinic, Olivia spends her time going to the beach and out on the boat, especially with her dog!

Appreciation Post!

James joined our team in 2026 but his career with animals started in 2023 when he was working with great apes. James loves going to parks and looking for wildlife. He has lived in 5 different states and 2 countries including the US as well as Canada. At home, he has 2 parrots, a mini macaw (Rocco) and an African Grey (Charley) and an Belgian Malanios (Anubis). Other passion is football and favorite team is the Philadelphia Eagels GO BIRDS! Favorite animals include Chimps, Gorillas and Orangutan. Another happy place you might find James (besides work with animals) is at the beach.

Appreciation Post!

Jordann joined our team in 2025 and is currently a full time student at St. Petersburg College working towards her Veterinary Technology Degree. Jordann really enjoys learning new things and expanding her knowledge further. She has loved all animals for as long as she can remember, but she has a special place in her heart for exotics, specifically birds and rabbits. She has her own personal zoo at home and has adopted a few animals from the clinic that needed a home. When Jordann is not working, she enjoys going out with friends to lunch, and she enjoy reading fantasy and romance novels.

Appreciation Post!

Celina joined our team as a client care specialist in 2025 and enjoys being a part of a team that works with wildlife rehabbers! Working with animals has been her passion since she started at dog daycares in 2019. Although she primarily worked with dogs in the past, she has fallen in love with meeting different kinds of avians and exotics at the clinic! In her free time you can catch her reading at the beach, exploring different nature spots, and playing with her sweet poodle. Around the clinic you may find her singing to herself (or to you). She is always ready to help.

Appreciation Post!

Christiane joined our team in 2021 as a Client Care Specialist and has enjoyed seeing the large variety of animals that come through the hospital. If you have called our clinic, you have likely talked to Christiane at some point! She is always happy to help with any question or request you have. She was raised in Florida for almost her entire life and has lived in the same area for about 20 years! In her free time she enjoys relaxing with her husband, son, two cats, and dog. She enjoys doing many family related activities such as enjoying the outdoors or visiting local nature parks around the Bay Area.

Appreciation Post!

Jason grew up in New York and has had a lifelong passion for animals, which led him to start working in the field in 1995. After gaining extensive hands-on experience, he pursued a degree in Veterinary Technology, graduating in 2005. Over the years, Jason has worked in many facets of veterinary medicine, including roles as a laboratory supervisor, zoo med, wildlife care, exotics, and small animal practice. His broad expertise gives him a well-rounded understanding of animal care, from household pets to more specialized species.
When he's not caring for animals, Jason enjoys spending quality time with his son, his Electus parrot named Coconut, and his loyal dog, Chopper.

Appreciation Post!

Campbell joined our team in 2025 as a Veterinary Technician. She graduated Eckerd College with a bachelors degree in Animal studies with minors in psychology and marine science! She is originally from North Carolina but moved to Florida in 2018 to study at Eckerd. Campbell has been in the veterinary field for 4 years now and plans to finish CVT school in the next 1-2 years! She love reptiles as they have been her passion since she was ten years old. Campbell has owned 15 reptiles with 10 of them being different species! She is also very fond of Rottweilers as she has raised around 4 of them and now has her own. In her free time, Campbell enjoys exploring Florida with her dogs, going to the beach or on a boat, and sitting on the couch watching tiktoks! At home, Campbell has a Doberman, Rottweiler, doodle and a cat that make up her lovely fur family.

Appreciation Post!

Dina is a Veterinary Technician that started at Avian and Animal in September of 2023 as a receptionist. She moved down to Florida in 2021 and has loved it since! She is passionate about all types of animals and plans to become a CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) in the next couple years to continue advancing in Veterinary Medicine. Dina has worked with cats and dogs her entire life but loves learning new things about all the different species the world has to offer. At home Dina has a dog and cat who keep the house super lively. Problem solving is her expertise so feel free to reach out to Dina - she would be happy to help!

Appreciation Post!

Katie is a Certified Veterinary Technician that joined our team in 2023. Katie graduated and became a CVT in 2019 from Joliet Junior College in IL. She has been working in vet med since she was 17 years old. She fell in love with working with exotics after an internship at a wildlife center in Massachusetts. Katie says "I can't imagine being in a clinic without them, I especially adore working with birds". Katie has 1 dog who is a shorkie named Scout and he is her best friend! When she is not at work she loves working out & being active, going to the beach, and spending time with her dog!
