🛠️Temporary Dog Fosters Needed!🛠️ THANK YOU to the families who stepped up to foster a pup so far, but we still need to move at least 20 more into temporary homes by June 15 to ensure we have space at the shelter to continue bringing in strays.

Do you have space on your couch to foster one of our pups for 3-4 weeks during construction? The lobby roof is being replaced and it’s about to get noisy and dusty around here!!

We provide a crate, food, medical care, a harness, collar & leash for the duration of your foster, too! 💛 If you have another dog at home, you can bring them to the shelter for a meet & greet. 💜

I've had people buy leather ottomans for their cats to go wild on. If a cat scratches your leather couch and you give him corrugated cardboard. No thank you
Try the texture he's going for. Multiple types of scratching surfaces at first are going to help dial out in. That way, once you find a preferred and acceptable surface, triple down.

You bought the scratching post.
Your cat saw it.

And somehow, the couch still keeps getting chosen.

That is the frustrating part for so many cat owners — because it feels like you already gave them the “right” place to scratch, but your cat clearly has other plans.
