Look who checked in! 🥹🐾

Harper spent a couple of months with us at SPCA Tampa Bay before heading home on August 9, and we recently got an update from her family that made our day. ❤️

Safe to say, she’s settling into adopted life pretty well! Harper has been busy playing tug-of-war with her new sibling, hitting the beach and getting very comfortable with her new routine. 🐶🌴

We get to be part of just one chapter in their lives, and we love getting a glimpse of everything that comes next. Updates like Harper’s mean so much to us, and now we’d love to hear from more of our SPCA Tampa Bay alumni!

The Force is strong with this one. ✨🐾

Meet Kenobi, a 4-year-old good boy with some seriously impressive Jedi skills. He knows Sit, Down and Stay, he’s working on Heel, and perhaps most importantly, he can catch treats MID-AIR. 🌟

His other special ability? Fetch. Give Kenobi a ball and he’s one happy guy. 🎾 He also loves walks, plenty of pets, and checking in with his people for treats and praise.

And don’t let that little bit of gray on his muzzle fool you. Kenobi is only 4 and has plenty of happy, playful energy for another round of fetch...and another...and probably another. 😂

Smart, affectionate, cheerful and always ready to show off his skills, Kenobi is available for adoption now at SPCA Tampa Bay!

Talk about a transformation! ✨🐾

When Sosa first arrived, she was looking a little more wet mop than runway ready. 😂 But after some TLC and a fresh groom, just LOOK at her now!

At SPCA Tampa Bay, transforming the lives of animals can look different for every pet. Sometimes, it even starts with a good haircut. ❤️

And now Sosa is ready for the next part of her transformation: she just became available for adoption!

Walkthrough Wednesday is here! 🐾👀

Clear the Shelters may be over, but many of the pets you’ll see in today’s walkthrough were here with us during the event and are still waiting to find their match. ❤️

And with our shelter already filling back up, we’d love to keep the going-home momentum going! Adoption fees are still waived for many of these pets, so take a walk through our Adoption Center with us and see who catches your eye.

What a weekend! ❤️🐾

We’re still celebrating all of the pets who found homes during Clear the Shelters, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.

For this special event, adoption fees were waived, but the care behind every adoption never is.

Long before a pet walks out our doors with their new family, so much goes into getting them there. Vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchips, preventive care, food, enrichment and, for some, additional medical care or simply more time.

Adoption fees help offset just a portion of that care. As a nonprofit, it’s the support of our community that makes so much of the rest possible.

And ultimately, this is what we want: more pets going home. ❤️

Even after such an incredible adoption weekend, our kennels are already filling again with pets waiting for their chance. Your gift helps us welcome the next pet through our doors, give them what they need and work toward another going-home moment worth celebrating.
